I cannot believe that AI would say this is the best move.

Hello, an amateur player here! Even though the equity difference is non existent, I still don't see why my move is not the best. There are 2 on the bar and the advantages are: hitting 14 from 2 positions(15, 17) instead of one, getting an anchor also from 4, I'm not scared of anything on the next roll. What move would you do? I mean....yeah, breaking the anchor on 8 and not having a slot on 13 seen from a different angle it's understandable why would be this the best move.

Does anyone feel that backgammon help them in other areas of life?

Hi! An amateur player here. Backgammon makes me see things different in life, for example in videogames. This main thing of backgammon of when to race or when to stay make me a better videogames player, situations like if it’s worth going back to save a teammate or do I need to rush forward, am I ahead and play safe or Do I need to create problems to get back in race, etc. Have you experienced something like this?

What's going on that many of us report a dip in energy between 10pm-12am and then a burst of energy?

I've read many posts saying the approximately the same thing: A dip in energy before midnight and then high energy up until around 4-5am. I feel the same thing, sometimes I nap 2 hours around that time. It interesting that the pattern is true for a lot of us, not a dip at 7pm or 2am but exactly before midnight. I successfully changed my sleep pattern but even after 3 weeks of falling asleep at 9pm my energy never came back, but here is the catch, If I stayed awake past 11pm it was over, sleep pressure gone up until 3-5AM. If don't respect the 4-5AM schedule I feel awful, fatigue, I don't feel alive at all. Do you feel the same? What's the explanation for the midnight dip? It seems that human body is accustomed to 2 rhythms, either the normal one with a dip at around noon or the dip at midnight. What makes us to favor the second pattern?
