hopkins house + having a car - off-campus housing

hi all, prospective incoming transfer student here :).

currently looking at housing as i decide on where i’ll spend my next few years of undergrad. i came across hopkins house and after i toured, i found that i really liked the building + the apt + its amenities and found it to be very convenient.

has anyone heard anything about it? especially about pests, water/heating issues, safety, etc…i’ve only seen posts about it from 9+ years ago, so i’m interested to hear from some more recent tenants.

also, i have the opportunity to bring a car down. i’d have private parking through hopkins house (in a garage). one current student does not rec having a car and a past student (from 20yrs ago lol) did rec having a car. any thoughts on this?

also…i’m willing to take any random tidbits of advice. non-pre-med, incoming junior.

thank you for the advice!

hi all, i was checking my portal and i noticed two new items on my financial aid checklist (attached). does anyone know what this means? does anyone else have this?

the entrance counseling is asking for my COA, which i don’t know since i have not been admitted (yet).

…could this be a good sign? or is it just a late add due to issues with my W-2?
