[FAQ Friday] How do I delete my WePlay account? 👋

It is FAQ Friday, and today we are answering:

How do I delete my WePlay account? 👋

The quick answer:

Start the request yourself in the WePlay app, meet the conditions shown on the account-deletion page, and confirm. Your request then enters a review period. Logging back in during that period cancels the request.

Before you confirm

Once deletion is complete, the account cannot be recovered. You will no longer be able to log into or use it.

Personal information associated with the account is deleted or made anonymous, except as otherwise provided by law or the Account Deletion Agreement. Read the agreement and confirmation screen before proceeding.

All account benefits and privileges are cleared, including remaining virtual currency, virtual items, and value-added services. Review these before you confirm.

Why might the app not let me delete yet?

The app checks three groups of conditions and shows which items still need attention. Every applicable condition must be met before you can submit. The exact list may vary by region, app version, and account.

1. Account security

  • Recently linked or changed your phone number? You may need to wait before deletion is available. Follow the timing shown in the app.
  • Account currently banned? An active ban prevents deletion. For questions about your account’s status or an appeal, contact in-app Customer Service.

2. Balances, items, and subscriptions

  • Red packets in your bag: use the remaining red packets first.
  • Gold balance: it must fall within the permitted range. A balance above the maximum or below the minimum can block deletion. Follow your app’s displayed condition; don’t assume it must be zero.
  • Knight/King Passport: if it is still active, wait until it expires.
  • VIP or Monthly Pack subscription: disable auto-renewal, then wait for the current subscription period to expire. Turning off renewal does not immediately end the current period. For subscriptions through Google Play or the App Store, turn off renewal in that store, rather than in WePlay.

3. Rooms and relationships

If the deletion page flags any of these, complete the corresponding action:

  • Board Game Room owner: leave the rooms you own.
  • Family membership: leave the Families you belong to.
  • In-app marriage: take off your ring.
  • Mentorship, close-friend, partner, or team relationship: end the relationship listed.

If you have a contracted singer status, contact staff to have that status cancelled before proceeding.

What happens after I submit?

Your request enters a review period, and the app shows the scheduled deletion date. Its notice says:

>Please do not log into or use this account in order to ensure that the deletion will be completed successfully, or else we will treat it as if you've changed your mind and decided not to delete the account.

That includes logging in just to check whether deletion has finished. Logging back in during review cancels the request; you would need to submit again if you still want deletion.

If the app says your deletion request has already been submitted, do not keep submitting it. Follow the existing review instructions and avoid logging in to check progress.

Follow the date shown for your account; there is no single waiting period to quote for every region.

What if I only want a break?

Repeated deletion and re-registration are subject to limits. If you only want some time away, consider logging out. Logging out does not delete your account; completed deletion cannot be undone.

A quick safety reminder

Use the in-app confirmation process for deletion. WePlay staff will not ask for your password or verification code to “process” an account deletion. Never share those details with anyone.

Can’t find the option or understand a condition?

Contact in-app Customer Service for guidance. If you cannot access in-app support, email support@wejoysg.com. These are help channels; sending a message does not itself submit or confirm deletion.

For account-specific help, share your WePlay ID privately with Customer Service. Don’t post IDs, login details, phone numbers, payment details, or sensitive screenshots in the comments.

Which step or condition would you like explained more clearly? Please keep questions general here. 👇

[WeFamily Lore Day] What would you say to Wolf on a day like this? 💛

Hey WePlay Fam! 💛

This week, Wolf is sitting on a park bench, feeling down:

“It feels like nobody likes me… like I can’t do anything right.”

Then a hand reaches into the frame. Will has brought him a lollipop. 🍭

Sometimes, a small gesture and a few kind words can make a difficult moment feel a little less lonely.

If you were sitting beside Wolf, what would you say to him in one sentence? 💛

[FAQ Friday] How can I change the phone number linked to my WePlay account? 📱

It is FAQ Friday, and today we are answering a player’s question:

How can I change the phone number linked to my WePlay account? 📱

The quick answer:

Go to Me → Settings → Account Management and tap your linked phone number. Select Confirm, enter the code sent to your current number, then enter your new number and the code sent to it. “Phone number bound” confirms the change is complete.

Before you start

  • Link another login method first. Choose one available on your Account Management page. Without another linked method, the app will ask you to link an account before changing your number.
  • Keep access to your current number. You’ll need the verification code sent to it.
  • Use a different, available number. Your new number must not already be linked to another WePlay account.
  • Check the country/region code and phone number before requesting a code.

What changes after I switch numbers?

  • Your account stays the same; only the linked phone number changes.
  • Use your new number to log in. Your old number will no longer log in to this account.
  • Changing numbers does not grant the first-time phone-binding reward again.

What if my old number can’t receive codes?

Contact in-app Customer Service to request a manual change. Once it starts, a system message will show the last digits of your current and new numbers and the waiting period. Until it finishes:

  • You can’t log in with your current number or register/log in with the new number.
  • You can’t start another change yourself.
  • You can still use another login method already linked to your account.

The change completes automatically when that waiting period ends. Follow the timing in your own system message.

Why might the change be unavailable?

The change may be unavailable if you haven’t linked another login method, your new number is already in use, you’ve requested too many codes, or a manual change is already in progress. Follow the message in your app, including any date or waiting instructions. If it directs you to the Help Center or Customer Service, follow that route.

Menu labels and available login methods may vary by region, app version, and account.

If a step is unclear, ask below. For account-specific help, provide your WePlay ID privately through Customer Service. Never share verification codes with anyone, and don’t post IDs, phone numbers, passwords, or other private information in the comments.

[Game Guide Thursday] How does Liar's Party work on WePlay? 🃏

It is Game Guide Thursday, and today we are answering:

How does Liar's Party work on WePlay?

The quick answer:

Liar's Party is a bluffing card game for up to four players. Each round has one table card: Queen, King, or Ace. On your turn, you play one or more cards face down and claim they match the table card. They might be telling the truth… or they might not. The next player can keep playing or challenge you. Whoever loses the challenge has to cut a wire on their bomb. If it goes off, they are out. The last player standing wins. 🃏

Here's how a classic round works:

  1. Get your cards. The deck uses Queens, Kings, Aces, and two Jokers. Each player starts with five cards, and the deck is reshuffled for the next round.
  2. Check the table card. The game randomly chooses Queen, King, or Ace for the round. Jokers are wild and count as the table card.
  3. Play face down. On your turn, play one or more cards face down. Other players cannot see whether your cards really match.
  4. Keep playing or challenge. When your turn comes around, you can play your own cards or challenge the player who played immediately before you.
  5. Reveal the cards. If any challenged card is neither the table card nor a Joker, the player who played it was bluffing and the challenge succeeds. If every card checks out, the challenge fails.
  6. Cut the wire. The player who loses the challenge cuts a wire on their bomb. If the bomb goes off, that player is eliminated. If it does not, they continue into the next round.
  7. Stay alive. When only one player remains, they win the game.

A few details that help:

  • If you run out of cards, you sit out the rest of that round. If only one player still has cards, the game can trigger a challenge automatically.
  • If your turn timer runs out, the game can play a card for you, but it will not challenge another player on your behalf.
  • Spectators can watch the table and, with a player's permission, view that player's hand.
  • Voice chat, text chat and quick interactions may be available at the table, depending on your version.

Liar's Party is currently available in select regions. You may see a local name in your version, and the exact buttons, modes and availability can vary by region and app version. Check the in-game rules shown on your screen before you start.

Now be honest: are you the player who bluffs with a perfect poker face, or the one who challenges everyone on turn one? 😏

[WeFamily Lore Day] Emily turned a coffee run into a runway walk 🍂☕

Hey WePlay Fam! 🍂

Emily is spending an early-autumn afternoon on the Left Bank of the Seine, wearing her latest couture coat and stopping for a carefully brewed pour-over.

The red hat. The pearls. The coat catching the breeze.

“The whole city is my stage.”

Apparently, the walk to coffee counts as a runway. ☕

Then it’s a seat by the window and absolutely no reason to hurry. We’re a little jealous.

What’s the most ordinary errand you’ve ever dressed up for? 👇

[Community Showcase] What do you think of this “overworked scarecrow” disguise? 🎨

Hey WePlay Fam! 🎨

Part 2 of our Paint Hide & Seek player shares comes from our Chinese-language server, and this one has a name: “Overworked Scarecrow.”

Watch the drawing take shape, then see the finished disguise in the farm scene.

That oversized eye and the caption “My eyes are so tired...” make the scarecrow look ready to clock out. Apparently, standing in a field all day takes its toll. 😭

Thanks to the player for sharing this clip with us!

How would you rate the creativity of this disguise out of 10, and which detail made you choose that score? 👇

[Event Spotlight] A look at our Malaysia & Indonesia server’s item design contest 🎨

Hey WePlay Fam! 🎨

Today, we’re sharing a little of what’s coming up in our Malaysia & Indonesia community.

Starting tomorrow, September 29, the server is hosting Gaya Kamu, Karya Kamu (“Your Style, Your Creation”), a 25-day item design competition open only to players on that server.

Players taking part will create designs for Avatar Frames or Gifts. The exciting part: the winning design will be made into an item in WePlay, bringing a player’s idea into the app.

The TOP 1 creator will also receive a 7-day Avatar Frame and a 7-day Creative Master title.

We’re looking forward to seeing what this community comes up with, from the first design idea to the finished entry.

What kind of design would you be curious to see come out of this contest? 👇

[FAQ Friday] Why does WePlay say “User does not exist” when I search for my friend? 👋

It is FAQ Friday, and today we are answering:

Why does WePlay say “User does not exist” when I search for my friend?

The quick answer:

It is usually not what people assume. The most common reason is that the ID you are searching is no longer the ID your friend is using. Before anything else, ask them to open their profile and read out the ID they have right now. 🔍

Step 1: check what you are typing

Searching by User ID looks for an exact match. Two things catch people out:

  • Typing a nickname into the ID search. Nicknames and User IDs are different things, and ID search will not match a nickname.
  • One wrong character. Extra spaces are ignored, but a single wrong digit or letter returns nothing at all.

Step 2: ask your friend for their current ID

This is the step almost nobody thinks of, and it is the most common cause.

In some regions a Lucky Number can take the place of the ID shown on a profile. When someone starts using one, that becomes the ID other people search for, and their original ID is held aside. When a Lucky Number expires, their profile automatically goes back to the original ID, or moves to another Lucky Number they own.

So an ID you saved a while ago may simply not be theirs any more. Expired Lucky Numbers also return to the pool and can later be given to someone else, which means an old ID could even belong to a different person now.

If you are searching something you wrote down weeks ago, ask for a fresh ID before assuming anything is wrong.

Step 3: the other reasons

  • The account was deleted. Once a deletion is complete, the ID no longer belongs to anyone. Deletion is permanent, so there is nothing left to find.
  • You are not on the same region’s version of WePlay. Regions run separately, so an account created on one region’s version will not turn up in a search from another.
  • A small number of accounts are not searchable by design. Some official and service accounts do not appear in search results.

What this message does not mean

  • It does not mean your friend blocked you. Blocking does not produce this message, so please do not read it that way.
  • It is not the age-related message. If an age preference setting is what prevents you from adding someone, WePlay shows a different, specific message saying exactly that—not “User does not exist.”

Still stuck?

If your friend has confirmed their current ID, you are both on the same region’s version, and the search still finds nothing, contact Customer Service through Me → Help & Customer Service with your UID, the ID you are searching, and your region.

A quick safety reminder

A User ID is the only thing you need to share to add someone. Never share your password, verification code, phone number, or payment information, and never in a public comment. Anyone offering to “find” or “recover” a player for you is running a scam.

Feature names, Lucky Number availability, and entry points may vary by region, app version, and account.

Has an ID you saved ever stopped working on you? 👇

[FAQ Friday] How do I add someone as a friend on WePlay? 👋

It is FAQ Friday, and today we are answering:

How do I add someone as a friend on WePlay?

The quick answer:

Tap someone's avatar to open their profile, then tap Add. They will appear in your friends list right away. If they add you back, you will become mutual friends. 👋

You can find people to add in a few common places:

  • By User ID: Open your friends list, tap Add in the top-right corner, then search for their User ID.
  • In a Voice Room: Tap a speaker or online member's avatar, then tap Add.
  • During or after a game: Open a player's profile from the game or results screen.
  • From Moments: Tap the profile of someone whose post you found interesting, then add them from there.

What does "mutual friends" mean?

WePlay uses a one-way add and add-back system:

  • When you tap Add, that person enters your friends list. You are not waiting for them to approve a traditional friend request.
  • When they add you back from their Add Friends page, you become mutual friends.
  • Adding someone back is free.

Is adding a friend free?

In most situations, yes. You receive free adds each day, and adding someone back is free. In some cases, after your free adds are used or when a player has set a flower requirement, the app may show a flower or Gold cost before you continue. Always check the on-screen prompt before confirming.

Why might Add not work?

Common reasons include a block between the accounts, an account or friend-list limit, age-group protection, a temporary anti-spam limit, an unsupported special account, or not having enough Gold when an in-app cost is shown. Follow the message displayed in your app. If the issue continues and the message does not explain it, contact Customer Service through WePlay.

A quick safety reminder

Only add people you want to connect with. If someone makes you uncomfortable, use the in-app block or report tools. Please do not post login details, verification codes, phone numbers, payment information, or other private information in public comments.

Feature names and entry points may vary by region, app version, and account.

Where did you meet the first person you added on WePlay: in a game, in a Voice Room, through Moments, or somewhere completely unexpected? 👇

[Game Guide Thursday] Before your Paint Hide & Seek disguise locks in, check these 4 things 🎨

It is Game Guide Thursday, and today we are doing one last camouflage check before the Hiding Phase ends. 🎨

Some hiding spots can look confusing at first 😊 They are part of how Paint Hide & Seek works.

During the Hiding Phase, you can drag your character around the flat map, resize it, change its pose and rotate it. There are no gravity or collision restrictions, which is why a player can appear to float, fit between a car and its tire, or hide in a trunk.

To create a disguise like that, make your character smaller, place it in your chosen spot, then use the brush to match the colors around it. That combination is what helps a character blend into the scenery.

Before your character's position, pose, size and angle lock in, check these four things:

  1. Color: Does your paint match the area directly behind you?
  2. Pose: Does your character's outline fit the object or shape you are using?
  3. Angle: Would a small rotation make you look more like part of the scenery?
  4. Position: Are you hiding in a spot that looks natural, not just the smallest gap you can find?

You can still add a few final touches of color during the brief transition, but your placement is already locked. And once the Seeking Phase begins, every shot matters because each player has a limited number.

So before the timer runs out: color, pose, angle, position.

For the full instructions, check Game Rules / How to Play inside the game. 🎨

Which one takes you the longest to get right? 👇

[Community Spotlight] Meet WePlay × Én: a Vietnamese Genius Academy adventure 🇻🇳

WePlay looks a little different in every region, and our Vietnam community recently got a colorful local collaboration with Én 🇻🇳

Meet Genius Academy, a playful WePlay × Én adventure that combines Vietnamese street scenes, local atmosphere and a bright science-themed world.

The collaboration’s artwork takes us through a lively Vietnamese neighborhood, complete with flags, lanterns, storefronts and a bus ride with the WePlay and Én characters. The second visual shifts the scene into a futuristic academy, where the two mascots become lab partners and explore a world of ideas.

The collaboration also brought themed Avatar, Badge and Sticker designs for players to discover and use as part of their WePlay identity.

It is always fun to see how a local collaboration gives WePlay a different look and feeling. Vietnamese players, which detail stood out to you most: the street-style artwork, the Genius Academy theme, or the Avatar and Stickers?

And players from other regions: if WePlay teamed up with a local character or IP in your area, who would you love to see next? 👇

[FAQ Friday] What is a Family on WePlay?

It is FAQ Friday, and today we are answering:

What is a Family on WePlay?

The quick answer:

A Family is your crew on WePlay: a group you start or join to hang out, play and grow together. 👋

You can create your own Family or apply to join someone else's. A Family has different member roles, Leader, Deputy and Admin, so there is room for both playing together and managing the group.

Here is the quick tour:

Family Coins are yours. Family Funds belong to everyone.

Complete Family Quests to earn Family Coins, then swap your Coins for gift cards in the Shop. Family Funds are shared by the Family. They can come from quests, member donations and even successful steals from other Families. Funds help with Family level-ups and some Family features.

Daily rolls and shared rewards

Everyone gets one free Family Gacha roll each day. Gacha rewards can include Gold, Family Coins, avatar frames, gift cards, steal attempts and Barriers.

Family Chests come in four types: Normal, Advanced, Rare and Super. Members can try their luck to claim them, and a chest that is not fully claimed before it expires returns to the Leader's bag. Chests may contain rare outfits and Gold.

How does a Family level up?

Family Quests, gifts between members, Cheers and Donations all add to Family Activeness. When the Family reaches its next level, the Leader or Deputy can spend Family Funds to upgrade it.

Upgrades can send out chests, unlock higher-level Gacha rewards and eventually unlock a Family Voice Room. Top-level Families can also customize a Family title and avatar frame that members can wear together. If a member leaves the Family, they can no longer wear those Family-only decorations.

There is a weekly loop, too. Weekly Activeness determines Family chests, and the previous week's activity decides the style of this week's Family Sign. Everyone can receive the Sign, while the Leader can customize its text.

And yes, there is a little friendly rivalry: you can try to steal Family Funds from another Family. The target list refreshes daily, each attempt may end with Funds, an item from the other Family's chest, or a Barrier stopping the steal. Keep your Barrier up. 🛡️

Already in a Family? Tell us your Family name and what you do together in the comments!

[WeFamily Lore Day] That is NOT a law book, Justin 📚😭

Big book. Full concentration. Very important judge business.

Surely Justin is studying a difficult case.

Turn the page...

Oh. He's preparing his opening joke. 😭

Our very serious WeFamily judge isn't looking for a loophole. He's looking for a punchline.

And judging by that smile, he's already his own biggest fan.

Somewhere in that book is a joke so bad he has to tell it twice. Just in case you didn't groan the first time.

Got a joke so bad it deserves a page in Justin's book? Keep it friendly. A dramatic groan is also a valid response. 👇
