Goodbye Xiaomi. Great hardware, but HyperOS 3.0 ruined my 12T Pro. Moving to Pixel.
Hi everyone,
I just need to share my experience with my Xiaomi 12T Pro. On paper, this phone is a beast: high-end CPU, great cameras, and decent hardware overall. But the software optimization at the kernel level is, honestly, the worst I've ever experienced.
I am currently on HyperOS 3.0.3 (Spain region), and the system is just completely unoptimized:
RAM Hog: The system idle processes alone eat up around 5GB of RAM out of my 12GB.
Overheating: The phone has suffered from overheating issues since day one.
Terrible Gaming Experience: Because of the thermal issues, playing demanding games like Genshin Impact, Zenless Zone Zero (ZZZ), or Red Dead Redemption (RDR) is nearly impossible. The phone literally burns your hands.
Awful Battery Life: The lack of optimization completely drains the battery, even with light use.
What’s the point of having high-end specs, deep customization, and exclusive features if the system prevents you from actually enjoying them? It feels like Xiaomi just doesn't know how to optimize their software for their own flagship hardware.
Because of this, I’ve decided to switch to a Google Pixel 9, and honestly, I don't think I'll regret it. I'm ready for a clean, stable, and well-optimized OS.
Has anyone else noticed HyperOS 3.0 making things even worse on the all XIAOMI?
