Hey everyone,
I’m doing some in-depth research on trader psychology, specifically focusing on how active prop firm and day traders handle tilt, revenge trading, and drawdown pressure.
I’d love to hear how you manage the psychological side when things go sideways:
Handling losses: What specific rules or routines do you follow immediately after a red trade to stop yourself from revenge trading?
Hard limits: Do you use automated daily loss/trade limits, or do you rely entirely on manual discipline?
Journaling gaps: If you keep a trading journal, where does it fall short when you are actively in a tilted state?
Costliest mistake: What was the biggest psychological mistake that blew an evaluation or funded account for you, and what changed afterward?
Not selling anything or promoting courses—just looking for honest discussions and real experiences from active traders. Appreciate any insights!
