My family isn't supportive and hasn't ever been. I'm almost 20 and came out when I was 14ish. They're both baptist Christian if you haven't guessed by now. It feels like I've tried everything to change their minds.

If you're a parent of a kid who came out and you originally didn't accept them but now do, what was the situation or reason that made you finally see you were wrong and accepted your child? thank you so much for your time and I appreciate all the wonderful parents who love their children unconditionally!

I'm a 19yo trans man, almost 20 as of next month, and I'd really like to talk to a guy who could relate to my situation lol. I wanna start hrt, but my insurance won't cover it and I work a job that pays minimum wage so I can't afford it out of pocket either. I don't live with my parents and pay my own bills so you can imagine how broke I am lol. I also got pets and they're spoiled fuckers. I don't have any friends and even though my boyfriend is also a trans man, starting hrt isn't something he wants to do right now so I don't really have anyone I can ask or talk to about it and it makes starting hormones seem impossible. I know it isn't and there are diy and payment plans and I KNOW there are some brothers that are broke like me and can still afford hrt, so I'm just wondering how??? I don't know if I can ask specifically for a DM on this sub, but if there's any dude who relates to my situation PLEASEE give me all the advice or information you have 🙏🙏🙏 trust me I'm doing the research, but having someone to talk to about this and not doing it completely alone would be really nice. thanks!
