I'm looking for mnc in nits /iits , and I'm thinking to choose NITH over NITJ MnC , is it the right decision or should I consider some IITs too, mnc in decent iits doesn't seem possible with this rank and

Hi I'm a beginner i bought my guitar a year ago and couldn't play it much as I was preparing for a very important exam.
The E. String broke by itself and rest others are fine but there are a few black strips that have developed on them , probably corrosion idk.
Should I change all the strings or just the E string ?
