This guy moulted in the time me and my bf were out for dinner and drinks!!
Is anyone able to give a sex identification for both/either? I think they're both boys but not 100% sure. We are also getting a bigger enclosure for them soon, just waiting on arrival. Also, is there any precautions we need to take with a freshly moulted spiny leaf insect??
I'm planning on getting ants for my boyfriend for his birthday in about a month, Camponotus aeneopilosus to be exact (I was given advice on here earlier that said a Camponotus species is quite good for beginners).
I live in Western Aus and found an online store (Ants Australia) but they are based over east and they said I need a permit to post that species over here.
Couple questions I need answered if anyone can help:
I'm pretty sure it's the wildlife/environmental department I need to get it from (correct me if I'm wrong) what is the name of the permit I need?
How do I apply for it and what are some supporting things I can include to increase likelihood of being approved
Do ant farm/formicariums include an out world and would you recommend one (and which one) for this species, preferably from Ants Australia so everything will arrive at the same time, unless there's another supplier you'd recommend for the ants as well.
