House elves

I was curious as how Wizards/Witches get a house elf? Did they buy them? Hermione was pretty much right with them being slaves not servants. Although it seems like Dobby was the exception to rule, the other house elves seem not wanting be free. But that doesn’t make it right.

Squibs

A couple question about squibs. Are squibs equal to muggle. Since they don’t have magical abilities would 2 squibs that had children would their children be considered muggle born?

Ok so I saw the play recently. First I want to say I’m a Potterhead. I love the Harry Potter universe, both the books and movies. Even the connected universe (Fantastic Beasts and where to find them). And while I loved that they brought Tom Felton to play Draco Malfoy, loved the theatrics, the dementors and special effects, overall, I was quite underwhelmed at the story. Also a little confused. I have a bunch of questions that maybe the fandom can help me out. Was this a fan fiction? I can’t believe this was even green light by the JK Rowling. Second, who was the cursed child? Was it Delphi, and how did Delphi live with Amos Diggory if she was Voldemort’s child? Was she really his child or did she think she was his child? And was it supposed to be romantic love between Albus and Scorpius? Or just friendship. I was confused at the end bc they definitely seemed to portray “gay personality” stereotypes. Because at the end Scorpius seemed to be crushing on Rose. Really confused. Maybe someone can explain these things to me.
