They denied my wife's diabetes medication and sent her a bathroom scale instead

She had gestational diabetes and has been pre-diabetic for the last 15 years. She's on Mounjaro which has prevented her from getting full-blown diabetes.

We switched from Anthem to United due to a job change and they denied her prescription as unnecessary. After all, she's not diabetic! So OBVIOUSLY she doesn't need it!

And then they sent her a bathroom scale. It is a really nice scale but ... it's pretty insulting.

Props to Nilles for even signing up for this

Haven't seen the show yet, I'm going to see them in Chicago but I've seen her play in some of the videos and she's great.

I'm trying to come up with another woman in rock who took on a harder assignment and I'm coming up empty. Nilles signed up for what might be the single most scrutinized seat in rock history, possibly regardless of gender. She's standing in for one of the greatest drummers of all time in front of an unusually rapid and demanding fan base. The closest comp I can think of is Jason Bonham with Zeppelin in 2007.

Mad respect for standing up and saying, "yeah, I can do that." That took moxy.
