I legally changed my name and Facebook won't let me update it on my profile no matter what I try.
Hello,
I changed my name several years ago to something that is neither unusual nor grotesque, yet Facebook won't let me change my name. I try the normal method through the Meta account center and am greeted with a message that says "We require everyone to use the name they use in everyday life, what their friends call them, on Facebook. Learn more about our name policies."
From here, I click "Learn more" and can find my way to the name change form where I enter my new legal name and include legal documentation of the name change, but the request has been denied every single time I've tried, despite the legal documentation being uploaded with each request. I've tried 4 or 5 times.
I'm at a loss here. There's no customer support I can reach out to. The AI assistant is absolutely useless. Whoever keeps reviewing my requests doesn't care that the legal documentation is included.
What do I do?
