Windshield cracked instantly after a stone hit at 100 kmh

Was travelling at 100 km/h when a stone hit the windshield. I’m pretty sure my old Mazda took similar hits quite a few times …. it got chips twice, but never actually cracked.
This time, though, the windshield immediately developed a crack of around 2 inches.
I’ve seen a few other posts recently about windshields cracking, so thought I’d share. I’ve contacted insurance and they’re yet to assess the damage.
One thing I’d recommend: make sure windshield replacement is included in your insurance policy, as the excess can be pretty painful otherwise.
Also, I’ve seen some discussion about uneven pressure on the windshield potentially contributing to cracking, but this is completely unconfirmed.
Has anyone else experienced something similar?

Edit - Glass replacement company said there needs to be recalibration to some devices, maybe the HUD!! They’ll contact with the dealer.

Deal or not?

Went to a dealer and talked about the offer my friend got. Plus I asked for some extras as well.

Inspire drive away price - 46000
Comes with wall charger
3 year free maintenance
Marked as demo car with less than 100 kms on dash!!

What’s the reason for all these offers?? Are they getting rid of these cars before the next launch??

Only thing I can’t get on this deal is - no loan for 0.88%, I have to pay full amount.

What’re your thoughts peeps?

Onshore Partner Visa applications, are they being prioritised?

With the new Ministerial Direction 117 introduced on 25 July 2026, Home Affairs says onshore family visa applications are given the highest priority, and Partner visas are prioritised within that category.

Just wondering if this means onshore 820/801 applications are actually being processed ahead of offshore applications ?
