Just got an updated contract with the VIN prepared. Told ETA is June 28th.

Ordered early April.

Placed an order and deposit in the first week of April. Was just told that they might get it in stock by the end of June.

Melbourne based dealership.

Been waiting 8 weeks for our charger from the dealer, told it will be another 6-8 weeks. Can’t cancel as it’s part of novated lease. If I went and bought my own does anyone know if I can resell the dealer charger when it arrives?

About to walk into a dealer later today to book an EX5. Has anyone been able to haggle on anything, car mats, dash cam, anything else? Appreciate any tips. Thank you.

The car is finally here and the dealership is getting it ready for pick up (yay!)

Anyone has any useful checklist I should have for pick up?

I know these are two very different cars overall and probably aimed at different buyers, but I’m curious if anyone here has actually driven or owned both the Geely EX5 and the Zeekr 7X.

I was pretty set on getting the EX5 because from a bang-for-buck perspective it seems really hard to beat. Comfortable, practical, decent range, and the pricing makes a lot of sense to me.

But recently someone told me I should seriously consider stretching to the Zeekr 7X instead, and now I’m second guessing myself a bit.

I do really like the design and overall premium feel of the 7X, but we’re talking roughly another $20k depending on spec, which is a pretty significant jump.

For those who’ve driven both or seriously cross-shopped them:

• Does the 7X genuinely feel worth the extra money?
• Or does the EX5 still come out as the smarter overall buy/value proposition?

Things I care about most are:

• comfort
• tech/usability
• ride quality
• value for money
• long-term ownership experience

Would love some honest real-world feedback rather than just spec-sheet comparisons especially in Melbourne (Vic) driving.

For those who received the Geely home charger with the car, did you keep it or replace it with another brand/model?

For anyone still using it, are you happy with it? Any issues or complaints so far?

For those who have driven in motorway, what's your experienced effective range? The Inspire's WLTP is 450km. So I'm expecting around ... 350km?

When we test drive the EX-5 the demo model we drove had tinted windows all ‘round. We take delivery early next week and I’m making a booking to have the windows tinted and ceramic paint protection applied. Does anyone know whether the rear windows already have privacy glass? Obviously I’ll only to the 2 front if that’s the case. But as I said, the demo we drove had all of them tinted already so I can’t remember.

For various reasons I’m not inclined to get the dealer to do the job.

How is everyone received their promotional fast charger. I was told by dealer that they will submit VIN to Geelly after car purchase so that the charger will be delivered later on.

Has anyone managed to figure out how to set/change shortcuts?

I got my 2026 EX5 extended range from dealer early April. The car is pretty solid and I'm enjoying every ride. However I still can't use Android auto which I believe is in Flyme 1.2. Do you folks how I can request for OTA updates?

Ordered a EX5 inspire on novated lease through a dealership and delivery is end of June. Since the order some bad stuff has happened with our house and I likely need to sell. Could still go ahead with the car but ideally a few months of breathing room before it starts coming out of the salary would be great. Has anyone ever delayed their order? I've looked at cancellation and can't get a fixed idea of costs seems like it might be the $500 deposit plus unknown fees?

Just picked up my EX5 Complete '27. When I park in my garage, the car makes zero sound to alert me I am getting close to the front wall. I parked 2cm away and it scared me there was no warnings at all. Is this normal? Does anyone know if there is a setting for proximity sensors? I am coming from a very loud Volvo with long tones if getting close. I never thought I'd miss that sound but here we are lol.
