Hi, so I know you can put the car in camp mode and the car will keep you warm, but what sort of kWh is used?

Obviously a 100 different variables, but have a late night coming up at work and an early morning. Not worth the two hour drive to home and back again.

Hi Geely brains trust, picked up my Moonlit Silver EX5 Inspire about two weeks ago. At the time, the dealer confirmed that RevCharge (who have partnered with Geely across Australia) would be sending notice out to me when delivery of the included 7kW Home Charger was on the way.

Can anyone share their experience with how long it took to get their home charger? And if you went with RevCharge to get a partnered electrician to install it?

I've been getting by mostly fine with the 8A portable charger for now but now my wife is looking at a BYD Atto 1 (she doesn't have a car at the moment) and so I will most likely need to upgrade to something that can charge both the EX5 and Atto 1 in a respectable time.

It feels like Geely’s engineers put a ton of effort into the EX5’s audio system, but I’m not sure I’m fully appreciating it. What specific details or tracks should I listen for to notice the difference with Virtual Arena and Spatial Sound compared to other car systems?

Annoyed with the new app, every couple of days it logs me out, and then I have to log in again, which is annoying as it resets the name of the car, and my shortcuts.

I've gone back to the old app.

Seems like their beta testing team for all things software are rather lacking, DAB radio, App...

Love the car though.

Hey all, like title says, my Geely no longer responds to “Hi Geely”. The voice button still works and can do voice commands from there, but no luck when trying to engage via “Hi Geely”. I’ve tried turning the function off and on, rebooting and even factory resetting. It’s definitely switched on in my profile. I’m trying different pronunciations/accents/loudness but no luck. Once I hit the button though, it picks up my voice just fine.

Is this something I’ll need to contact Geely support for?

Are there any tips and tricks are you offer on how to plan the ride and if there's any apps I should download in advise for charging etc etc?

Just came here to say I am gutted after a kangaroo struck my 3 month old Geely. Sad for my beautiful car, the kangaroo and her joey. Not necessarily in that order. I read that you shouldn’t charge or drive an EV even with minimal damage, which means a tow from my place 50kms to nearest repairs I guess.

Anyone else having trouble with the app not updating? I can't even log out. I just get the wheel of death.

I foolishly installed new app. It won’t connect. I also foolishly uninstalled working older app. After installing, uninstalling, reinstalling old app, resetting password neither app works.

i have also:
Soft reset Flyme (1.2.2)
Reset the car’s network connection.
Stood on my head chanting help backwards.
Oh - and tried calling dealership and Geely directly.

Any advice?

Does anyone know if you can adjust the auto-braking distance on Geely's Adaptive Cruise / ICC. Cruising is fine, but approaching stopped traffic at red lights feels way too aggressive. It waits until about 15–20m before slowing down, which makes me nervous enough to manually override it. My old Q7 used to start braking much earlier (30–40m out). Is there a setting for this, or do all Geelys stop this late?

So apparently we need to download a new app by the 12th? Anyone know anything about this?

If I do a google / Gemini search, I am told that in Australia you can change the colour of the car in your EX5 infotainment system / 360 degree camera etc., to match the actual colour of the vehicle. Mine is Jungle Green whereas the infotainment system has it as grey. My local Geely service centre says it is not possible. Can anyone shed any light on this? Who is right? I have rung Geely Australia and they say it can't be done, but the person I spoke to on the phone did not seem to be very knowledgeable. He told me to send an email to the generic email on the website, then proceeded to tell me it was his team that answered these emails and I would get the same answer??!!

Got our Geely EX5 mid-July as a part of a novated lease and was eligible for the free 7kw wall charger as a part of their promotion.

Have been consistently following up with the dealership and they said they're still waiting on a third-party supplier to provide the chargers.

Anyone else in the same boat? Are we all waiting on the free wall chargers or is it just me?

So we have recently purchased our EX5 (awaiting delivery) and took up the 5 year finance offer - 2.68%.

Doesn't seem to really advertise that there is an exit fee (up to $1000) which we anticipated, but a $1500 "Introducer Fee" which didn't really seem to be highlighted up front as well as you'd hope.

Weighing this offer up against the Essential Workers rate at CBA (5.79%) you could argue that the far lower setup fee and no exit fee well and truly offsets the marginally extra per fortnight on the repayments.

Aside from that, unless you take the loan in joint names, spousal income isn't very much taken into account.

Assume the experience of how well the fees are advertised varies by dealership, but this was ours and just wanted others to be aware of the fees. 😊

I managed to get the granny charger to come through my garage and want to know if the 7kw charger cord is the same outer dimension

Quick question, the car seems to use the electricity first and not touch the petrol. our work pays for petrol but not for electricity so we wanted to favour to petrol. Is this possible or does it favour electricity instead of petrol by nature
