The synchros in my 5 speed box on my S54 track car just crapped out. It’ll go into all gears at service road speeds but on track it won’t go into third and fourth is iffy as well.
It seems like no one rebuilds these short of Metric Mechanic upgraded boxes at $4500 + core.
And it seems my only other option is rolling the dice on a used one with unknown history and 150k+ miles.

Is there a reman option I’m missing?
Are the MM boxes worth the cost for a dedicated track car w S54 power?
