This is the latest iteration of the Barrett Precision Grenadier System we saw at SOF week 2026

The challenge right now is to shave two more pounds off of its current design and they’ll have a live-fire demonstration later on this year to a couple foreign military entities which is exciting.

Something to note is the 3D printed magazines and cheek riser which are still being developed and improved upon. However they do have more refined parts made already.

They also have an ARCA Swiss rail at the bottom and when pointed out, it’s specifically made just for display purposes.

Colt realize how popular the IAR 5.56 was and decided to try their hand at a 7.62 version. Asked about any countries or units that are interested in it and the rep kept it vague that some Scandinavian country showed interest.

It is confirmed that it will be released to the commercial market. However it’s a long ways out.
