Applying for job with the City of Raleigh

Earlier last month I applied for an office job for the city of Raleigh. The day before yesterday I received notice that my application is being sent to the Hiring Manager for further consideration.

I am curious. Does anyone have any experience with applying for/interviewing with the city itself? Like how long does the process take? How many levels?

I ask because years ago I applied for some jobs at NC State and other local government jobs. They either took a LONG time to get notices and some apparently are still open (on the govjobs site I see one I applied for in 2020, and I am STILL listed as under consideration).

We had out second ultrasound made at our new obstetrician. The little guy/gal is looking healthy so far.

I am so excited but also terrified.

Thanks for everyone here for their support and I want to keep supporting other going through their journey.
