IT adjacent degree?

Hey all,

I'm planning on going to UMPI, as it's a school physically near me, and it would allow me to transfer in the most credits. Only problem is they don't really offer any tech or IT related degrees. This is making me consider WGU, but WGU appears as if it'd be significantly slower, allowing me to only transfer 50 credits. Would there be anything at all tech related at WGU for me to pursue?

Thanks !

Edit: Should clarify I'd be doing it through the yourpace program

Which path would be most efficient? IT degree

Hey all,

I'm currently taking many classes on Sophia learning, and was wondering what the most efficient path for me would be. I want to eventually get a career in IT, but I've run into a crossroads.

From researching I've gathered that on average WGU will let you transfer around 50 credits or so directly from Sophia learning, while UMPI will let you transfer 90 total credits. This would normally make UMPI a no brainer, but UMPI does not offer a degree in anything tech related, while WGU offers multiple tech related degrees, and on top of that, WGU also gets you different certifications necessary for a job in tech. So I'm wondering: Would it be more efficient to just get a general degree from UMPI and then get the certifications independently or am I overstating the difference in time it would take to get my degree from WGU? 50 credits vs 90 just seems like a lot. Is WGU generally faster to push through than UMPI?

If anyone has any insight I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

Why claim citizenship if not intending on moving?

Hey all,

I semi recently discovered I can claim Israeli citizenship, but have no current plans to live there within the future. I see a lot of people on this subreddit claiming that one should apply for as many citizenships as possible if they can. Why is this? Is it just to keep your options open in an uncertain future?

Thanks
