Question for folks who had the Oasis & upgraded: Do you miss buttons enough to regret upgrading?

Hey everyone 👋

So I have an Oasis that charges via micro-USB. It’s lasted me years and years but unfortunately the port is starting to be unreliable for charging and I’ve really degraded the battery with my daily use.

I’ve been waiting and waiting for a Kindle with buttons but have finally accepted that whoever is in charge of hardware has decided that this was niche and us button-lovers are a tiny minority who need to move on. I’ve owned a Kindle since the very first one so I know I existed for years without buttons, but having had an Oasis with buttons for, what, a decade has me nervous about upgrading.

Are there any other people out there who were Oasis (or Voyage) users who were die-hard button fans like myself who finally gave in and got a new model where you have to (gag) touch the screen? Is it something that you got used to easily? Or did you find it negatively impacted your enjoyment as much as I’ve built it up in my mind to do?

I’d love to hear anyone’s experiences!

So I’m replacing my Ring Peephole Cam with the new Ring Battery Doorbell Pro 4K (the new second gen model) and I’m wondering where I should mount it.

I’m going to be using Gorilla Tape to mount it, and am thinking I could mount it below my now-normal peephole, but has anyone got any experience mounting the battery doorbell to an apartment door? What height would you recommend?

Thanks to anyone who replies in advance! 😊

This scene was so iconic. I remember nodding along in horror with Lauren’s disgust at the idea of hooking up with JB!
