What I Think The End Is Nigh Is About

After having completed Nevermore, I think TEIN is about giving up and cutting your losses. Going off of how the game was effectively Edmund's "video game suicide note," the core idea of Acceptance and Nevermore is either giving up and accepting that something is over for the betterment of yourself, or clinging on even if it destroys you. In the Acceptance ending, you see the clock is ticking and that you don't have forever, so you leave, and despite dying, Ash dies happy. In a metaphorical sense, it's him seeing his time is up and giving up on something he realized is no longer worth it. On the other hand, Nevermore is seeing your one chance to get out of the hole you dug yourself in and instead throwing yourself further in, and that you can never find acceptance again. I believe the thumbnail Ash talks about in the Nevermore ending is important: he tore it off after it was getting in the way and there wasn't any room for it, and all that was left underneath was a gnarled, disgusting, shriveled thumbnail. I think him tearing off the nail is a metaphor for acceptance; it's him being hurt by keeping something around even though there isn't any room for it and its getting in the way of his life, and deciding to tear it off after getting sick of it, revealing himself underneath, shriveled and sucked dry from keeping it around, leading to him questioning if he will ever get better or if this is who he is now. In Edmund's case, the old fingernail is game development; it was hurting him, and there wasn't any room for it with his busy life, and after tearing it off, he questioned what his life would be afterwards.

Chapter 6 Will Reveal The Incident

To me, it seems like it's very likely. Chapter 5 just spent time making sure you know about it, and Chapter 6 will answer one question; it makes the most sense to answer the question just established

And we have a good reason for it to get answered too: the Holiday House has a corkboard with conspiracy stuff; whatever that manifests into the Darkworld is an easy source of exposition.

Gaster has a good chance of being important in chapter 6

6 is literally his number that hes always associated with and it would give purpose to 6 being his number because its being used to foreshadow that.

is it just me or does it feel like dlcs are coming out too quickly

it went from 2 years between SOV and SOTS to barely over a year between SOTS and AC and then they announced a new dlc a couple months after AC

it feels like the dlcs are coming too fast for a game like ror2 and bloating the game with too much content, not every rougelike needs to be like isaac where it has a billion different items and it feels like the game is going to keep getting more content shoved into it until it becomes a mess

GUYS WHAT IF THE LAKE SONG IS THE DEPTHS

So we know the depth texture is a part of a stock photo of the ocean, right.

Well, the song that Onion mentions hearing coming from deep under the lake is stated later in the dialogue to not be the full song, and that Onion heard "The full thing" coming from the ocean, and that it's not a "new" song

Well, the depths image is not a new image and is instead an edited, cropped image of the ocean that comes from deep somewhere

The Song: A part of a song that's full version comes from the ocean, which is being heard from deep within the lake

The Depths: A cropped part of an image whose full version comes from the ocean that is somewhere or something deep

The secret boss pattern is how close each of them are to a lightner

Each secret boss gets closer and closer to being a Lightner

Jevil is a Darkner

Spamton Neo is a Darkner using the idea/creation of a Lightner

ERAM is unknown because we don't know if ERAM is FRIEND or Ramb, and we have to wait until we get their identity. ERAM isn't really a secret boss and is more like the teacups before Spamton Neo, so I'm unsure if they even really count

The Knight is Schrodingers Lightner because we don't know their identity and don't know if they are a Lightner or a Darkner

Gerson is a Lightner revived as a Darkner

Pink is a Lightner possessing a Darkner

My friend beat the original run of Oneshot a while ago and has semi foggy memories of the game, would he still enjoy solstice

He originally played Oneshot and screenshared his playthrough with me a couple months ago but we both got super side tracked and i have been wondering if solstice would still be worth it, a part of me has considered that solstice might even be improved by this because of Nikos memories also being foggy throughout it. Just wondering if he should still play it?
