Would a 1/4" anvil from a 2556-20 fit as a replacement on a 2555-20 (3/8")?

What it says in the title. Can you change the anvil on a 3/8" 2555-20 to a 1/4" anvil from a 2556-20?

2557-20 3/8" FUEL Ratchet Warrantied 3 Times But Lights Still Blinking When Used

So a few years ago I bought a Milwaukee kit that came with the 2557-20 FUEL 3/8" cordless ratchet. Thing has been great, I love it. A year or so ago I had to warranty it because it would randomly, usually under load but sometimes not, start blinking the battery indicator lights wildly. It's got a five-year warranty so I sent it in for repair, got it back, no issues. Use it a bit more and it starts having that same light blinking issue. Send it in for warranty again, it returns and immediately starts having the issue but to a lesser degree and is still usable. Finally this time it got to an unusable state and I sent it in for warranty a third time. They replaced the entire internal electronic assembly and the anvil and hammer. It spins freely with no issue but the MOMENT it is put under load of any kind it stops everything and starts blinking the lights wildly. What is going on with the tool that Milwaukee is missing? Has anyone else run into this issue? Is it possible to get them to replace the tool entirely instead of just replacing parts that clearly aren't resolving the issue?

I was doing an oil change on my brother-in-law's 1992 Toyota Pickup and after installing the new oil filter I saw that this wire harness was not connected to the corresponding connector. What is this for? From some research I'm thinking it's the oil level/temp/pressure sensor, but I'm not certain.
