Hey everyone,

I wanted to ask if anyone here has bought one of the official signed Metallica platinum plaques from the Metallica store and what your experience was like — especially regarding shipping, packaging, authenticity, insurance, customs, etc.

I live in Cyprus, so to be honest I’m terrified of spending €1500+ on something potentially getting lost or damaged in transit. I’d love to hear from people who actually ordered one.

The reason I’m considering it is because I want to surprise my boyfriend for our 2 year anniversary in October. We recently went to see them live together and even though I’m personally more of a TOOL fan and not a huge Metallica fan, seeing how happy he was made the whole experience worth it.

We waited in line since the morning — dehydrated, hungry, exhausted — but he ended up getting a picture with Lars and finally got a drumstick after trying for 9 years. It made him so happy that I would do it all over again. 🥹

So now I’m thinking about saving up over the next few months to get him one of those signed plaques as a surprise gift, but before spending that kind of money I’d really appreciate hearing some real experiences from people who actually bought one. I’m thinking the “…And justice for all” one which is his fav album. He’s already got an impressive collection so this would be a unique and special addition.

My bf caught this one and even though I know it’s quite rare, I would like to know if someone knows how rare it actually is, because I don’t have a shiny nundo yet on my account and I’ve been playing for years 😭 The thing is my bf wants to trade it to me, since he doesn’t really play but I am worried that if he does the IV will change. Is there a chance for the IV to remain at 0% after the trade or no? If not I don’t think it is worth it.
