Honestly its just the easiest way to cope that OG's story is valued as being significant. It seemed like after Revin in OG Butterfly and Zero Hour that OG would no longer have an important role in the story. But then of course the Dark Harvester showed up searching for a shard, and left empty handed, showing that OG and C7 still have a connection.

The reason I think Geno would create a fake Zero Point with a high amount of power is to help the cycle of events in Athena OG so they'll line up with how they did in Chapter 1. Since there's supposedly only one version of every Seven member, someone needed to appear for the Visitor, so he put himself and used the opportunity to travel to 266 and infiltrate the New Seven. He intentionally made the events of OG seem like everything's the same because--this next part is entirely just theorizing:

Geno wants to return everyone to the END of Season X, but this time the Seven isn't there to reset reality, and he's able to continue Chapter 1 with everyone under control of his Loop. At the end of Chapter 7, he uses the Zero Point to send everyone into OG's Loop during Season X, and the following season/Chapter is the continuation of Chapter 1 / Athena (basically Chapter 1: Season 11). And obviously he'll put the Zero Point in place of his fake, likely back in the Vault.

The reason why the Harvester showed up in OG was just because Geno needed the Voyager to check up on OG and make sure things since S4 have been progressing like usual.

Edit: I remember someone else's theory that the OG Zero Point is Pandora's Box since it has a high amount of power; I didn't play Chapter 5 so I won't act like I understand it but if that's the case then that's cool.

Simply put, the trailer screams "FUN"

The music is so energetic and with all of the new gameplay features being showcased in rapid succession, the trailer just shows a completely new variety of things to do.

My favorite standouts are:

• Rift Anomalies being replaced by these Cartridges that seem to shake up the gameplay.
• An entire Sonic POI and just all of the bright colors of red and green being thrusted on the map.
• Pac-Man spots and Tetris taking over Sunken Shores.
• ALL OF THE [things named after a Soda] OH MY GOD THEY LOOK AWESOME
• Seemingly 1v1 in a 2D fighting game style?
• Tetris healing Junk Rift that looks stupid but I love it.
• While I said I don't care for the skins, I actually kind of like the BP for the skins that represent different genres (unironically I think the stupid Tetris/MC one might grow on me)

My only concern would just be how [things named after a Soda] are handled this time around. If you can [barter] in the Garden or if they simply make rebuying lost [things named after a Soda] WAY cheaper I think that's a good fix from how they were this season.

Overall yeah I think this trailer just showcases so much that I'm really excited to play. Typically (even with seasons I end up really enjoying) the trailers don't do a whole lot: I remember C6S1's trailer, and it was cool seeing the theming but I wasn't sure if I wanted to recommit to playing Fortnite, but I greatly enjoyed the season/chapter.

For those wondering why I kept putting things in [-], apparently you can't discuss anything relating to the things named after that one Soda.

Field of Dreams shows us Mort's Dimension. Rick didn't invent portal travel in his 30s nor was he granted it by another Rick, therefore he stayed present in Beth's life. However, Diane still died and he became a full alcoholic.

When Beth was 17, she fell in love with Jerry and had Summer. At this point, a young Jerry managed to kick a very drunk Rick out of their lives. Rick started to attend AA and recover from alcoholism, eventually finding a new wife and profession at MIT. Meanwhile, the Smiths had more successful lives (likely due to Jerry's confidence) which was unfortunately too overbearing for Mort.

I really like this episode as it plants the idea that if Rick didn't leave Beth when she was a child, then Jerry of all people would be the one to successfully kick him out, and they would all have somewhat normal lives separately. But it also shows the bad side with how much Jerry expected and pressured from Mort, leading to him killing himself before Morty shows up.

Therefore, even with more successful lives, the family is still somewhat dysfunctional, which kind of highlights what Morty realizes at the end of the episode (with him sticking to the family he loves).

"Hot Rick" features a one of Rick's last memories of Diane Sanchez C-137 becoming sentient and falling in love with a young Rick. However, this young Rick is a memory by Birdperson C-131 who became sentient as well. However, Birdperson C-131 is likely not the same Birdperson that Rick used to fight alongside (Ricksy Business was his first appearance, already in C-131).

This most likely means Memory Rick is based on Rick C-131, which is weird considering Memory Rick said his daughter was dead, which is the case for C-137, not C-131. On top of this is the fact that once again, this is Birdperson's memory of Rick, and if there's a chance Birdperson never saw what Diane looked like I think it's very funny how Memory Rick feels about her.

This is not meant to be serious lmao I'm just poking fun at the weird continuity because otherwise I love this concept and episode as a whole.

The first slide isn't just the shape but also how the shapes look, like Shattered's spiky square looks better to me than Athena's smoother square.

This is someone who skipped out on late Chapter 2, the entirety of Chapter 3, and the core parts of Chapter 4 and 5.

Also yes I ranked The Order and Foundation differently from Chapter 2/3 to Chapter 7.

okay imma explain some of this (also I forgot OG Paradigm so whoops):

The Order stole the spotlight in Chapter 7 for me given how active she had been in the storyline (at least Season 1 and the start of Season 2).

I had always thought it was so cool that the members of The New Seven were the returning Foundation, Order, and ALTERNATE VERSION OF THE VISITOR. THAT WAS SO COOL... AND THEN HE'S GENO WTF! S tier lmao I love it.

OG Visitor and Scientist were always cool to me, Season X was one of my favorite seasons and I saw they played a part in flipping Apollo which I think is neat. C7 Foundation goes here too because I liked his petty rivalry which basically got him frozen again. (Shattered was peak event)

We haven't seen much of Slone as the Innovator yet but I like that she's joined the team (speaking of which, if Jones and Hope join they would be in A and S respectively). OG Foundation is here too because the face reveal of the Rock was too funny even though I wasn't playing anymore.

My favorite part is always the sign representing the old POI mixed with the theming of the new one:

"Welcome to Paradise" with Moisty trees, "Sandy Strip" but with Orange Cubes, "Battlewood" sign adding an "S" and being stuck in the trees

Morty Prime: Experienced first hand ditching his family to replace his dead self in another family. Had to live with that fact and eventually faced his original family twice, both times to no remorse for leaving them.

Jerry 5126: The family he's grown much closer to is not his original family, and he finds out his original family pretty much sucks because he and Beth didn't get divorced there. Other than that, people in the Parmesan Dimension like his mother technically aren't the same. (Also 5126 is currently left without a Jerry)

Summer C-131: Found out pretty early on that her brother and grandfather are dead and have been replaced, literally dug up her Rick and met Morty's original family.

Beth C-131: Treated the idea that her original Rick and Morty are dead pretty lightly, and also reminded Rick to get Jerry 5126, initially forgetting her original Jerry. That being said, the father she idolized, the guy she married, and the son she birthed have all been dead for some time.

Space Beth C-131: Surprisingly it's just the fact that the whole Space Beth thing isn't tied to just Rick C-137 alone. Given that she has all of Beth's memories up to Season 3, the men in her family that she knew for so long before then ware all dead.

Rick C-137: Mainly, he lost his daughter young, and is now living with her grown up family. He obviously knows the situation and life he's in so he treats it more lightly than the rest of the family.

On top of this, all of them have the shared experience of replacing their dead selves in a different dimension full of friends and family that are the same, yet technically different at the same time.

From gameplay and aesthetics alone, The Battlewood and Sinister Strip are my favorite POIs on the map because they play into the theming of The Zero Point reorganizing and shuffling Golden Coast.

The Battlewoods simply took Battlewood Boulevard, an LA suburb, and threw it up to the redwoods where Tiptop Terrace used to be.

Sinister Strip is a cool takeover of Sandy Strip, with DV securing the Vegas strip similar to Dark Dominion.

I also know other POIs like Shaken Sanctuary and Calamari Canyon are biome swaps which are neat.

On that note, my only criticism of this map is that I think more of Golden Coast should've carried over. Mainly, Latte Landing and Wonkeeland should've gotten some mashup with a previous POI.

I think Latte Landing could've used an upgrade and incorporate Humble Hills south and Ripped Tides north as a much larger POI.

Also Wonkeeland could've taken some aspects of Painted Palms and Fore Fields to create a larger-purple field around it, maybe even have Cluster take over the park.

Kind of yapping but overall that's my review of Shattered Coast. Also my theory for the rest of the chapter is that it will be about stabilizing The Zero Point, and slowly the Island will incorporate more aspects of Golden Coast and previous maps.

Edit: I think the main reason I like this concept is it harkens back to Season X with the Rift Zones, particularly Moisty Palms by taking the Prison and City and swapping their biomes
