Daydream of a Production Cook - 3

As for the art of 2066 we went to Chelsea last week. We looked for something exciting but it was roughly similar to recent seasons.

The first thing we noticed was a ten foot projection of a toddler working a Play-Doh extruder. It was extruding figures in wet suits riding hover-surfboards. The toddler watched zig-zags mid-air as little surfers whipped their boards and gave radical thumb ups.

Me: “This art is for giant babies.”

Her. “It speaks to the inner child and I was more of a practical child.”

Me: “What would you see a baby you extruding from an imaginary extruder?”

Her: “Appaloosas.”

The Daydream of a Production Cook #2

Technology codes the double helix. Our connection to nature has been forgotten and control is present throughout our synthetic ecology. The birds transmit a media to weigh and direct our thoughts. Fragments of our humanity hold us together. We must cling to the rites of our ancestors and create a new religion.

People say that I’m too fucking quiet! I am. I used to be afraid of being self centered so I became completely selfless. Not great when you have no education and no connections. I've made my path by working at restaurant kitchens, and more recently a production kitchen, though now my dream is to get into a non-profit and use the coordination skills that I learned in kitchens – so that I can get off of my hands and my feet for the second half of my career.

I'm looking for direction and opportunities in something new and I’m open to almost anything that gets me there.

I'm from Huntington Beach, Ca. I escaped a bunch of shit in California and rode my ass cross-country to New York City while working in restaurants. How the hell are you? I work in food production now and have a life-long connection to art. I'm interested in getting into something new.

Half awake in a recliner on a corporate patio, slurping from a perspiring mug of iced tea.

Slacks, white tee, and navy blue sunglasses. It's two in the afternoon, 82 and sunny.

I returned on a red-eye from Atlanta then went straight in to the office in Dumb, the non-profit capital of BKLN.

All of my tickets were completed by noon, versions sent out, and requests sent upstream.

Half awake in a recliner, my self esteem is on the rise and people keep calling me out of the blue.

A presence of seagulls and palm trees on the rooftops and streets are good fortune for this Southern Californian and Alisa is going to love what I’m bringing home for a late lunch.
