Online reading/book club, or theory recs

Does anyone know of any online reading groups (beginner friendly) dedicated to learning about anarchist theory/research? Groups who choose one piece of writing per week or month for all members to read, and then discuss thoughts on afterwards? It would be especially useful if these were writings that were available as free online pdfs.

If not, then if anyone has any links/recommendations for good places to start on anarchism research, I'd be very grateful! Thank you

[EDIT: if anyone would like us to make a beginner reading group, or join after we've made one, let me know - maybe private message your signal details and i can set one up if enough are interested!]

Advice for how best to incorporate the solarpunk idea into daily life, on an individual and household level?

For now, it's very hard to find specific solarpunk groups where I am from. SO I'd be really grateful for advice on the best changes I could implement in my life now, while I seek out more community opportunities. I am already a vegan, have made my household start composting food waste, and buy mainly secondhand. But they're pretty generic, well-known options, so if anyone has anything even more specifically solar punk I could start doing, I'd love to hear about it!

This could be : things I should devote time to learning/researching about, skills that I should develop, ways I can subtly convince my friends and family to become more radical, what the most useful sect to volunteer in is. Anything at all !!

Ecology volunteering for non-experts

I am studying in a creative field (writing and film) and plan to go on to be a fiction writer, so I obviously have a reduced scientific know-how, and no qualifications. But with the state of the world right now, I also want to improve my knowledge, experience, and usefulness is the ecology/environment/sustainability sector. I'd love to be able to volunteer and take some ecology courses, or help out in any projects at some point. Is this realistic for me to be able to do, considering I am not planning on getting a degree on the subject, and don't have the disposable income or time to devote to expensive courses/qualifications?

I don't want to only follow my individual dreams of doing something creative, as it feels kind of selfish to do that in today's world. Does anyone have any tips or pointers for how to get involved in this field, and gain more knowledge, as someone who is a total beginner. Any thoughts would be much appreciated, thank you!

[EDIT: I just wanted to note that I'm specifically looking to help in a non-state, non-corporation backed movement/project/initiative, thank you so much for all of the advice so far!

Solarpunk UK groups beyond London

I've only seen London-based solarpunk projects so far, and was wondering if anyone on here knows about/is involved in anything a bit further afield - in the North or the Midlands. It would be great if there was more of a widespread movement across the UK, since one of the big points is to avoid centralisation and establish more of a network!

This could be specific solarpunk groups, maybe university societies, sustainability projects, or an online forum connecting people all across the UK. If anyone knows anything, or has any thoughts on this I'd be really grateful to read your reply!! Thank you :)

UK Solarpunk groups

I know there's more of a solarpunk base in London, but are there any in the Midlands or North, or online? The London school of solar punk seems like such a cool concept, but I wish there was more of a community base spread out across the UK... Does anyone know of any, or online? Thanks :)

Are there any active anarchist groups in the UK (especially East Midlands or Liverpool) in 2026, or recent years?

I've been looking into this for days and I can't seem to find a single one -all of them look like they've gradually reduced activity after the early 2010s and all posts are archived. Am I missing something? Can anyone give some enlightenment as to what has caused this movement to fade out in the UK in recent years, and whether there actually are any current initiatives to reignite it. It would be much appreciated, thank you!
