Enemy ideas!

Enemy ideas!

Loose ideas for their mechanics-

Metalchemist- Act 2 Hallway fight. Whenever you gain block, it heals 2 HP. Rotates between a heavy attack, multiattack, and gaining strength.

Wax Guardian- Act 3 Hallway fight. Whenever you hit it, it loses 2 strength permanently. Starts off by buffing itself to gain 30 strength, then rotates between a medium attack, attacking twice, and gaining more strength and some block.

Wandering Blade- Act 3 Hallway fight. Rotates between a heavy attack that adds wounds to your deck, weak multiattack that hits a whole bunch of times, and gaining a small amount of strength. When it dies, it immediately hits you back for 25.

As excited as I am for the new characters, I have to say I just don't particularly vibe with skybound's designs

It feels like skybound completely lacks a unique design identity. Every character is just their most iconic iteration put through a cursory g1-ish blocky filter.

In Prime, cybertronians didn't have noses. So the characters taken from prime don't have noses here either. Doesn't matter that they don't fit with anyone else. Same thing for the way they handle their vehicle parts.

Lockdown has a bit more of a unique design, but he still doesn't really fit with any of the others. Beast modes haven't been mentioned at all, but Blackarachnia is just here now so I guess they're a thing.

It all feels cobbled together just to have you point at the comic and say "wow!! i know that guy!!".

Don't get me wrong. I am actually really excited to see these characters in the book (i am not immune to 'wow i know that guy!'), and in the grand scheme of things this is a pretty small nitpick, but idk it's just a little disappointing.

I think skybound would have been a lot more interesting if it established its own design concepts from the get-go, rather than just being G1 with other characters eventually shoehorned in.
