She really hates the pet carrier box 😅 Little beast

This is my little resuce girl. I put her into this carrier during spot cleaning her enclosure because she is still very scared and aggressive when a hand comes into her territory and I didn’t want her to bite me. She was misshandled by her previous owners and still needs time to learn that not all humans are bad.
She was throwing a tantrum while being in the transport box, even though it was probably only 5-10mins.

I didn‘t know hamsters had tongues this long!

After I put her back in her enclosure she was happy again instantly and she got a mealworm because she was so brave.

Update: She is here! Welcome home Flusi ❤️

She is healthy and is enjoying all the sprays in her temporary enclosure. I decided to buy 2 bucastate 3.0 120cm enclosures. One for my other hamster and one for her. They will arrive on Wednesday.
She already seems so much happier then in her old enclosure so she will probably be super happy in the bucatstate.

One thing I noticed though is that her sleep schedule is totally messed up. She slept at night and has been awake all day so far. I hope she gets a normal sleep schedule once she adjusts to her new life. Oh and she really bites a lot. Something my other hamster only very rarely did when he was new at our house. Now he never bites. I hope she will get calmer with us as well once she notices we are no danger. The kids she lived with before always grabbed her and that is probably why she tries to defend herself so much. I won‘t force her to like me :)

Will send a picture of both enclosure when they are here and completely set up.

I will pick up this little girl from very bad care up this evening to give her a better home

Hi! I already am a hamster owner and thanks to this subreddit I am able to give him a nice home (second and third pic is my current hamster)

Today I saw this little white hamster girl (first pic) on our local 2nd hand marketplace platform and she lives in a very bad cage with little bedding and no enrichment. I decided to adopt her and will get her a big tank with everything she needs. I am looking for all the things right now.

But I have a question, how do I make sure she is healthy? How do I notice if she has any problems because of the bad care she had? She is still young I think 4-5 Months old.
Do I need to take any quarantine steps before placing her in her forever home?
