Second EVER oil painting. This was a change up from my usual portrait making! I had to babysit my dad intensely while he used my paints, so I wasn’t quite as locked in as I usually am while making art 😂.
Constructive advice accepted! I have a background in water color, so I’ve got a pretty good grasp of color already, however it’s different mixing the colors instead of layering them. I purchased red blue and yellow, but I’m thinking I should have gotten CMY instead because I’m struggling to make the purples I want. I also made it sitting down and I looked down at it at an angle, so now it only looks good from that angle, and it’s really elongated head on 🫤. I’m used to doing my art hunched over on the floor.
