Not getting interviews at JPM — what am I missing?
Hey everyone, genuinely looking for honest feedback here.
Quick background: finance grad (4.0 major GPA, Dean's List), with internships at a PE firm, Equity Research in TMT, and a financial services firm in London. I can build three-statement models, run DCFs, LBOs, comps, IPO valuations — the whole toolkit. I've also done independent quant projects (ML-based trading models, NLP sentiment analysis using FinBERT).
I've been applying to JPMorgan roles — my dream company — and I'm not getting interviews. Not even a recruiter screen.
A few things I'm trying to figure out:
- Is the portal genuinely a black hole, or do people actually get picked up through it?
- My experience is mostly international (India, UK) — could that be hurting me with US recruiters even if the work is directly relevant?
- Is cold outreach to JPM recruiters/employees on LinkedIn worth it? And if so, what actually works?
- Any ATS keyword tips specific to JPM job descriptions?
Not here to vent — I just want to understand what's actually blocking me and fix it. I would really appreciate input from anyone who has been hired at JPM or gone through the process recently.
