Steam used twice the storage required.
Firstly, I'm genuinely sorry if this is the wrong community to ask or if my question is silly but I am totally lost.
I pre-ordered FH6 on Steam, and it gave me the option to pre-download the game yesterday, which I did. It took roughly 150 GB of storage.
Earlier today, I tried to access the game after early access was released, and Steam prompted me to download the full game again. During this my SSD ran out of storage which was how I discovered Steam is basically asking me to redownload FH6, which didn't make sense as I had downloaded it yesterday.
Additional info: I had FH5 on my SSD which I deleted, hence I had just enough storage (roughly 230 GB free) to download FH6. But after I downloaded FH6 yesterday, I was left with 80 GB. Therefore, when Steam asked me to download FH6 again, the download failed as 80 GB isn't enough for the 155 GB game.
I have restarted and updated my PC but my SSD is still showing the mysterious 155 GB downloaded from the previous day.
I understand that the Steam folder correctly shows the storage used by Steam games. But what boggles me is that the mysterious 155 GB is now tagged under Non-steam, which is extremely weird because I downloaded the game early via Steam.
Any help is greatly appreciated!
