West Yellowstone here we come!

Going BOTG with my 10 year old son. Hoping his childhood wonder can crack the code.

Does anyone want me to take a particular photo for you? Let me know and if the location is convenient, I’ll snap the shot and post it here for you.

Besides the 10 essentials, what’s your number 1 recommendation for BOTG?

Next week will only be my second time BOTG since this hunt started. In preparation, I’m thinking about what I’d do different from last year.

For me, it’s to take more photos. This time I’m going to get shots of everything from every angle.

The few photos I do have helped with some new ideas, but I sure wish I had a photo of, “that one staircase.” Were there 17 steps? 🤦‍♂️

Having watched the documentary, I understand that treasure hunts attract a lot of mentally unstable people, but the number of posts complaining because of the perceived contradictions is ridiculous. I get it, you couldn’t figure out the cipher so your ego hurts, but don’t blame Justin. Complaining because Justin has personal relationships with some of the hunters, so what, life isn’t fair so why would you expect this hunt to be different.

Accept that this is a game with only one winner, and it’s probably not going to be you (or me). Have fun. If it’s not fun for you, then quit or go talk to your therapist. No one is making you participate.

End of rant…
