Spears

What are the community's thoughts on 1 handed spears?

It seems odd to me that all the spears in the game are two handed when one of the most successful military strategy in history has been some combination of spears and shield.

I was wondering how hard it would be for the devs to allow spears to be wielded with either 1 hand or 2 hands, and have a damage boost for using 2 hands.

I really like spear and shield builds in games, but they are almost never allowed.

Sling/crossbow/bow

I am not sure about the game balance point of slings.

Historically they were cheap and easy to make. At least as hard as bows to use properly (if not harder) but pretty decently effective.

In the game we have bows that fire faster, and crossbows that fire slower but with more power behind them.

Slings do a high chance for stagger and pushing enemies back, but they don't seem much cheaper (other than their ammo) and most egregiously they take up more space in your inventory than bows. (They should be a two space inventory slot IMO.)

Do they have uses where they work better? Is there a reason to use them? I am level 10 with a sling (not my primary, but I have invested a few points into it) and I am not seeing the value.

I love the concept of [[Kirol History Buff]] and really want to make a viable commander out of him, at least a tier 3 deck. But he's really pretty underwhelming. Regardless of what his card says he seems to be unable to 'pack a punch'.

Any suggestions?

I thought maybe I would pair him with cycling in order to get cards into my graveyard while also getting some value out of them, but I am not sure if there is a better way.

This is my first draft.
