OK So i noticed if i sight my notos with a traditional scope lets say at 15 yards, if i shoot closer i shoot way too low, the adjustment evens out once you are past 20 but at 25 yards + you seem to shoot high
Sure you can compensate for that by aiming high when close, but estimating it is hard, and it varies ALOT when you are that close.
I had a fat iguana yesterday pick himself a nice papaya and feast on it, and when i saw him he was laying in the grass.
This was not a small animal, it was about 4' long, and he was sleeping ( he was napping ) and i missed multiple times
He did wake up and hop in the water and make an escape, and it got me thinking about scopes
Sure for a squirrel at 15-20 yards a scope is great, but would one of these red dots work better?
My neighbor refuses to use a scope for iguanas, he says iron sights dont miss ( he has alot of experience )
As an example, theres 2 red dots in the pic, the right one appears to be a traditional scope ( mounted too high ) which will give the problem a scope has, it will need to be adjusted for parallax making most ranges 5 yards outside of your zero distance miss
I also noticed ALOT of you guys show targets with too many shots BELOW the bullseye basically you are suffering from the same issue.
Anything comparable to the OSIGHT XE AMRS?
I currently have a notos which will probably be upgraded soon, i never felt it was too weak
( Accuracy is everything )
its hot currently in S FL And the whole flower opened in 1 day ( its massive )
last flower took 2 weeks to open because it was cold in the winter and half of it did die
sometimes sold as blue java / ice cream they get slightly blue when done growing, some varieties do get very blue but i have never seen at any of the wholesale nurseries, if you have a very blue variety post pic
the stalks will peak at 20' and might even keep growing if you keep feeding, they pup out hard and produce lots of stalks, after 1y each plant i put in has at least 7 pups
this stalk is 14" Thick at the base, maybe more
the fruit is very good, last cluster i sat there and prob ate 14 in a row
theres even talk of a pie
