Constant dropouts since 5G SA came in

Hi,

As per title. Ever since i’ve been able to see “5G+” in the top corner of my iPhone 16 Pro - I get constant dropouts on phone calls. I see the satellite calling symbol randomly when browsing - like one minute full 5G or 5G+ and then the signal just drops away.

I’ve restarted my phone a few times. Nothing changes - any tips?

Cader Idris

Completed the Welsh “Three Peaks” yesterday. 28 years after I first ascended Pen Y Fan as a cub scout and then Snowdon during the Three Peaks challenge a decade or so after that.

Made extra special by ascending with my Dad who turned 70 this year and the family cockapoo.

Don’t have the experience like many on this site of climbing, with just a handful to my name - but this was the most challenging, but varied and beautiful climb to date, in not perfect conditions (no view from summit) - but some technical elements.

Route was via Minffordd path and down via Mynydd Moel. Great circular route.

Headaches

Hi,

I started getting into KB’s a couple of months ago, making good progress following a 30 min workout on YouTube with the following exercises:

Swings

Goblet Squat

Push press

Bent over row

Bicep curl

Tricep extension

Started light with weights between 12-8kg depending on exercise, building up to 16-10kg now.

However, in the last week i’ve had really intense sharp headache pain whenever doing swings or the goblet squat. Today it was so bad I literally couldn’t continue and I can still feel the pain now. The only way I can describe the pain is like someone is stabbing the top of the left side of my brain.

I’m not new to exercise, have done endurance cycling and running for nearly 20 years.

I’m in the UK and it has been a warm summer, but I always make an effort to be well hydrated, but wondering if it could be an electrolyte imbalance? If it continues, I feel like I should visit the doctor, but wondered if anyone else has ever had this problem?

Dehumidifier - Will it help?

Managing to keep the house at 26 degrees today despite forecast of 38.

Inside humidity is 74%. Usually I pack away the dehumidifier in Spring - we have a decent Maeco one.

Will a dehumidifier make it feel more comfortable? On the one hand the humidity will be reduced - on the other it kicks heat out.

Smart #1 - What’s the catch?

Tomorrow morning we are going to put down a deposit on our first “owned” EV.

Our leased Cupra Born will be going back, so we are going down the used EV route.

Been scouring for ages with a budget between £15-£25k. Had pretty much settled on the Megane E-Tech, but by chance saw a Smart #1 on the road and thought it looked pretty smart (pun intended).

We went to view a #1 yesterday and can’t believe the quality at the price point. One year old, £22k! Full of kit and after research it basically seems like a cross between a Geely and a Merc. The interior quality is just another level compared to other used cars in this price bracket and makes our current Cupra Born feel very cheap.

All the reviews on YouTube are very complementary, so hive-mind - what’s the catch?

Going to view a 2022 Renault Megane E-Tech in techno trim at the weekend.

We already have experience of an EV as my wife has a leased 2024 Cupra Born that this will be replacing.

It has 33k on the clock and is from a Renault main dealer. Anything to look out for? They look pretty well equipped and not as poverty like on the interior like the Born either.
