Quick story time since my sister is now broken up with this guy. Thank the Lord!
My family was meeting my sister’s boyfriend’s family. It started off a little awkward, however we fell into a bit of conversation, which somehow led to the boyfriend’s parents talking about when the mother was pregnant. The husband then made a comment about how she used to complain, but stopped after he told her to because pregnancy wasn’t that hard. This man then proceeded to start laughing about it like like it was something to be proud of while the wife just quietly sat there. When I tell you, I was absolutely baffled at the audacity of this man. My family can have a temper so we kept our mouth shut since it was my sister’s birthday and my family didn’t want to cause too much strife with this new family we had just met. During the whole encounter, I looked at my husband like is this guy serious. Fast-forward to the next day my husband and dad went to their favorite pastime together, the local Costco since we were in a new area. Us girls chose to stay back and relax like we normally do. When my husband got back, I was still steaming over the pregnancy comment and started talking to him about it. He started laughing, saying my father and him had talked about it, and said if either of them ever made that comment, they would no longer have their manhood. I’m so grateful that I didn’t marry a douche bag. This is a PSA to all the women out there you do not have to put up with this type of behavior.
