Eating solids and the weightloss has stalled

Eating solids and the weightloss has stalled

So I am almost 5 weeks post-OP and back to eating solids and normal food.

These are danish open sandwiches, underneath there is a single piece of rye bread. This plate has 216 kcal.

And it is not a dinner plate but dessert plate.

Usually there would also be a lot of garnish mayo etc.

But now I focus on the proteins therefore much more turkey/chicken slices and less mayonaise and remoulade.

I have been so afraid I wouldn't be able to eat anything normal, and eventhough it is an altered versions of how I previously ate it still does the work for me. It doesn't bother me that it is different from the plates filled with carbs to this more protein filled plate. Plus I am happy to take these small adjusted steps toward a healthier me.

I get around 200 kcal per meal and about 4-6 meals a day.

I have lost around 5-7 kilos since the surgery, but the last week has been steady.

Is it normal to reach a stall in weightloss only 1 month out ???

TIA

Michelin star oatmeal🤩🤩🤩

I have eaten at some of the most high end Michelin star restaurants around the world, dined with high level officials and stars, my kid's godfather is one of the most famous french pâttisiers. He made my wedding cake and all my kid's birthday cakes.

And still, sitting alone on my couch in my PJs, eating this colourless splatter of gooey oatmeal, that I let boil so much that not even af grain can be chewed, is the best meal I EVER had !!!!😱😱🤣🤣🤣

I got operated one week ago and today I am allowed purees and very thin oatmeal and potato mash.

Yummeeeeey😋😋😋

Missing endings

I watch a lot of movies/reels on dailymotion.

But most of them lack the ending.

5 minutes before the end, they stop.

Is it because of copyright ???

Had the final talk with the surgeoun before OP mid June.

I am actually more calm and collected than 2 weeks ago when I took the decision of finally going through a G sleeve operation. I was/am literally panicking!!

It is something that has been on the pipe lines since christmas 2022, when I chickened out and got my money back. Thinking I could finally make the move to train more, eat better and do the works.

The last 2 years I also added the weightloss medication, and tried all the kinds that were available.

And here I am. A small weightloss of only 26 pounds (12 kilos), but no improvememt of pain, obesity or peace of mind.

The surgoun was kind and tried to calm me. I have decided to trust my life and health into their hands.

I promised that if he did a good job, I would put in the works with the lifestyle change, daily exercise routine, follow the dietician's advice and finally also do therapy.

Still scared but more optimistic.

Plus I found a five leaf clover leaving the hospital.

Mel Robbins says it is a good sign to look for small signs from the universe.

The four leafed one is known for

  1. Faith

  2. Hope

  3. Love

  4. Luck

I guess the 5th leaf is weightloss😆😂😂

Have a great day y'all🥰🥰🥰

I am pre-OP and scared. But I am doing everything I can to prepare myself by prepping and being ready for the weeks after the OP. I bought small bowls and nut plates for the week with 100 ml of milk and protein drinks. I bought small glass containers, ro take to work or going out. A thermos and g

I have made some (to me) very drastic decisions after 2 years of failed treatments with wegovy/mounjaro/saxenda/ozempic.

Absolutely no weight loss. And 6 months ago I got a very painful and itchy rash/hive.

I tried to power through with antihistmines, steroid and anti-itch cremes, but alas I must throw the towel in the ring and accept my situation for what it is now.

BMI 36

Pains in my knees and feet. Back pain flairing up.

No energy after work, and eventhough my appetite is low, I can still not eat clean and healthy.

I quit all the medicine and it will be out of my body in 7-8 weeks. And then I am on my own again!

I wish all of you here a happy weightloss journey. May all your dreams and wishes for healthier lighter bodies come true.

Thank you to all who helped and commented on my sideeffect posts.

Good luck to us all.
