How would you say "your grandma's grandpa"?

And in general, how do you refer to such a distant generation/family tree level?

Is it different if you are referring to someone else's great-great-grandpa vs your own?

[TOMT][Book] 90s-2000s YA book with an anime-style cover

Some details:

- I think it was about a group of scrappy teens against an apocalyptic force

- I think the main character was a girl with red or brown hair, her face on the cover

- I think there was a character named Ty

- I think I bought in from a Scholastic book fair catalog when I was in elementary school (USA). I really liked it and made a shoebox diorama of a scene from the book where the main character attacks some enemies in a bedroom to protect a kid
