Colour printing Netherlands Schengen Visa from London vfs

Hi everyone, I have my appointment soon and the other day I saw a post that said we should print all our documents in colour if applying through the Netherlands? I only printed a copy of my passport in colour but the rest are in black and white. Will this be a problem? I don't really see why documents such as bank statements need to be in colour if only the logo will be in colour. Please help!

Motorbike gang in Islington?

Recently moved to Islington along Hornsey Road and noticed that around midnight to 1am during the week about 10 loud motorbikes drive past going towards Harringey?

They look cool but with the hot weather and the windows open, they tend to wake us up since they are so loud. It almost hurts my ears, maybe because the noise is bouncing off the buildings.

Anyone else experienced this? Is there a way to possibly have a curfew for them so that we're not woken up almost every day with them passing by?

I've tried earplugs but its so loud that I still hear them with earplugs in.

Making friends as an adult, late 20s and 30s

I just want to start off by saying that these are my own thoughts based on what I have observed and experienced, I could be wrong and there could be other reasons. So I had a discussion with my partner last night about how hard it is to make friends as an adult especially in your late 20s and early 30s. I've also seen some discussions on here about how to make friends and why its so hard to make friends.

We came to a few conclusions:

  1. In high school and University, it was easier to make friends cause you shared something in common and created that bond by basically seeing each other everyday. We can find something that we share in common with someone by going to bookclub, community events, hobby events etc. But they are usually once a month and therefore you only see each other once a month so its harder to build those bonds that you had in high school or university. Even if you decided to meet each other outside of those activities, it would still be less than what we did in high school and Uni. Which leads me to my next point.

  2. Some people have different social groups outside of you so it would be hard to see them every weekend even if you wanted to cause they may have other plans with their other friends and may have reasons why they can't include you in those plans. Of course there are also many other factors that can contribute to seeing each other less such as finishing work late, dating, travelling etc.

Unless you manage to find that one friend/friends that happen to live in the same area as you (or happen to be your housemate/s if you are lucky) it will be hard to create that bond that we have all experienced in high school or university. Most of the friendships that I have seen build during this stage have been through knowing each other at work or church, through being housemates or being local to each other.

Like I said, these are just my thoughts from a 28F who has only been in London for less than a year. Happy to hear your thoughts!
