This is the current state of a wart I have on my left thumb. Been using 17% salacylic acid on it for about 4 days. It's obviously working but the burning from the salacylic acid is so painful it literally wakes me up at night.

My question... Could I stop use for a few days to give my skin a break? I'm worried that if I am not consistent with the treatment, the wart won't die off and I'll have to start all over again. What are your expert wart opinions?
