I’m transitioning these LVP’s from the hallway into a bedroom and the piece that goes in the doorway is a little too wide and leaves a big gap by the wall is my option here only to cut the piece and do a transition trip?

This is the floor plan of my new place and I need to lay down LVP. One caveat, the hall, foyer, kitchen and breakfast nook are tile and I don’t plan on doing it right now. Was hoping to be able to rip up the tile later this year but do the family room, dining and living room now.

My number one goal is to get the direction right. My assumption is vertical but vertical for the family room feels like it’s the wrong way. Any suggestions here?
