Location: Brooklyn, New York. Sure looks like a tick to me, but not sure. I haven’t been around grass or dogs but there is a surge of ticks this summer in NYC area.

Hi all! 34F and Here’s my story. In December I stopped taking birth control after being on it for 10 years. The acne came back like I had it in college. But I’ve noticed it’s concentrated on one side, the left side of my face, near jawline and lower cheek. It flares up mostly the week before my period, but they leave spots and stubborn bumps that remain for weeks.

Here’s what I’m using right now - it seems to be keeping the rest of my skin looking great but none of it has made a difference on the hormonal acne, lol.

-Tretinoin .125 every night / every other night
-Azelaic acid gel 15% every morning and sometimes night
-Spot treating with Clindamycin-benzoyl peroxide
-Wash every night with Cerave acne cleanser and every morning with EltaMD amino acid soap
-Exfoliating 2x a week with Alastin skin polish
-Sunscreen
-Facials 1x a month at Heyday (with diamond microdermabrasion)
-Inositol supplements to keep period regular

I don’t want to go back on birth control or Spironolactone. Those things definitely worked on my acne but I no longer want to rely on them.

Is there anything I could try? Thank you for your help!!

As you can see, aside from the hairball there are some small seed like debris. My vet says this is some kind of plant that she’s ingesting, but we don’t have any plants at home. I asked if it could be a parasite and the vet said she didn’t really think so. This has been going on for weeks.

My cat is a 7 year old tabby with no health issues otherwise. She eats two cans of 3oz Instinct duck or rabbit (no chicken or fish, grain free) twice a day. She is 9.5 lb. She’s a real sweetie and I’m worried about her and I feel frustrated at the lack of answers.

Bloodwork is normal. The vet says next steps is an abdominal ultrasound which would set me back thousands of dollars. I appreciate any help you can offer. I love my cat more than anything.

My mom plucked this gardenia from a neighbor’s bush. It smells creamy and fresh without any of the harshness of some floral scents. It’s soft and warm. What are some perfumes that capture this? No vanilla, no musk, no spice, please. A soft flower without the hard edges.

I went to a new place to get my brows done and despite insisting several times that I wanted to keep them thick looking they completely over-threaded them. The first photo is After, the second photo is Before. I’m guessing I just have to wait for them to grow back but any suggestions on how to deal with this would be much appreciated… 😭
