We usually prefer physical projectiles fired at mach fuck, or alchemical agents that we can paint bombard snd hose down threats.. like the infected one of them we hit with FOOF (real chemical agent by the way incredibly dangerous as it burns and poisons).

We vermensk, we are naturally inclined to transmutation and alchemy, our casting ability twists mana or baseline energy via will and concentration.

The spell fireball can be twisted warped to act now as a ball of napalm, or burrow in them detonate lile a HEAT rocket.

Most often when casting it is empowering the body to move faster, hit harder to blink into areas when we aren't hollowing. Now I don't understand city level to country level or planet level as I saw ingrained in the metaphysics precepts ie Rules but... we ain't gods however gods aren't invincible either."

Okay , so what species do we have in this torment nexus of an infinite living realm basement?

We have us, Vermensk which are bio weapons of a outer being that wanted to ascend to godhood. We succeeded and got left, then a lich found our kind made a deal and evolved us into our current species the Vermensk. Rodent folk. Most of our population are rat humanoids but there are mice folks too.

We know there's humans here, two deities, Hod being one of them. A divine being.

Sustenance! Food! Noms!

*Intercoms , advertisements on telecommunication devices, orbs and enchanted graffiti. A game show jaunty tune plays, with the tune being played a kazoo and 16 bit chiptune music. Yhrib of the Vermensk Empire walked in scene dressed in his usual jumpsuit wearing a gear belt and harness of of Trinkets, tools , a pouch of ammunition, and a large rugged rifle he's using as a walking staff.*

"Greetings denizens, lately there's been a concern for food, ie the meat packers getting bad meat batches. So how is food attained when your main source is downed? Well you're in luck, as you're gonna be educated so please pay attention."

"Vending machines , we found a bunch of them in the basement, we reset them to sell MREs, nutrients , flavored waters.

To purchase you have to find the money to operate them. Raiding the fountains, .. don't drink from the fountain by the way. Or the cashiers at the food court ya can snag coin. They refill every so often. Don't try to break a vending machine, you'll likely die , they don't like the attempts.

We grow our food, meat proteins spun in a nutrient bath and centrifuge loom.

Our beasts we've bred to be cattle... if you see a massive armored grub / caterpillar. Congratulations you've found a Gnoashi grub, the plates can ricochet intermediate rifle rounds so don't shoot at the armor.

Our hydroponics grows crops along with green houses we've been setting up.

You can come to our vendors or mobile shops to purchase goods , if you hear our jingle, your friendly neighborhood rodents are near.

Now there are areas you can scavenge food , but we haven't tested if its safe for human consumption. If you break open some walls...don't try that meat.

For Hod and a few others , Enkephalin is being sourced it just takes time to get the materials and facility set up even when you have magic.

Species: Vermensk , subclass Ratling. (shorter than human , dwarf sized. Agile as fuck boi.)

Age: 52 cycle 3 (a cycle is 569 years. The rats have an alchemical process where they go into suspended animation and regress to their prime and a secondary system ensures their memories are not wipe.)

Status: Trapped within the basement after arriving after a rescue of a group of idiots. Was sent here to extra resources and set up a community of Vermensk.

Appearence: An albino pink eyed rat humanoid standing four feet 5 inches tall having a pierced ears with a smiley face on his right ear, the left looks like it was shot or lost a chunk via a bite. Often us wearing a bomber coat over a mechanic's jumpsuit underneath this a fleshy hexagonal bodyglove , made from a mimic. Adaptive form fitting with ports for alchemical IVs to injection into the vermensk operative. His tail his greater than his height and quite prehensile able to be used as an arm / whip/ tentacle.

Augmentation:

Alchemical augmentation:

*Cycling - often done on elderly or after a greivious wound this returns the vermensk to a younger age. This is done via biofoundries, specialized tanks that can grow meat , grow new life alter genes and biology to regressing vermensk age regenerating limbs to the prime of their life or whenever they chose too. A nap in the tank after losing your arm.

* Alchemical pumps with vein uplinks- quick infusal of medical stimms, various mana for on the fly refills and potion tinctures. Pumps are normally installed in the age after a vermensk matures.

Cybernetics: Cybernetics range from baseline to HEAVY modification.

*Baseliners/ light cybernetics , everyone has these.

Medical nanites- to work with their natural high metabolism to heal minor injuries and assist stabilizing major ones this is further boosted by alchemical pumps. Nanites via biomechical replicating isolating pathogens disease to create in the vermensk genome a remembered antigens that pass on down through offspring. Nanites are nicknamed Fleas.

Direct neural interface- a processor linked to countless neural transmitters dubbed synaptic bridge interface which has built in black ICE , letting users access the datascape of the omninet augmented reality , link better with armors and with the body glove plugsuits. Universal zero latency communication.

Moderate cybernetic augmentation- not had by everyone. Examples of augments.
