It happened .. he came back
He ended things super abruptly in January. Complete shock to myself and everyone who knows us, we are truly a perfect match and have so much in common. I thought this was really the one. We’re older, and both stated we want real futures and could see it with one another. I was devastated for months. He apologized on multiple occasions for hurting me, but of course offered no real reason.
It wasn’t completely zero contact with us, as we have careers that overlap and run into each other sometimes. There wasn’t any real conversation for about 3 months until he text me last week, things seemed different, like he’s in a better mood or something. We spent the night together, and have been chatting ever since, but it’s only been flirting, pics and updates of our day, small talk.
Do I give it time to see if something blooms? Does he just want a no strings attached situationship? (He really isn’t the type for that) I’ve spoken to his close friends including the person who hooked us up which where all in the dark about why he did what he did. I just wish I knew where his head was at. I think it’s too soon to ask for clarity but what are the odds that he actually wants and is ready to try again?
