Average Experience Finding a Job as a New Grad

So I'm a recent graduate from UT Austin, BS in mathematics, looking for a job in NYC (preferably Manhattan) right now. I've been applying to places since last August, have done easily over 700 apps, have reached out to countless recruiters on LinkedIn and other platforms, been trying to leverage connections as much as I can. I've had a couple interviews but nothing is landing.

I know literally thousands of people are in the exact same position I'm in right now, but I don't know what else to do. I feel like between AI and mass applying on everyone's part, I don't know what to do anymore. I feel like there is something I'm critically missing. I don't even know if I'm asking for advice, or just people to commiserate with, but really, if anyone knows a way that is not being wildly used across the board to get a position, I'd love to hear it. I'm aiming for primarily data science/analyst roles, as well as UX/UI positions.
