I would be happy to watch Eurovision in Oxford :)

I know it sounds strange, but usually Slavic girls feel more confident when they move to Western European countries, as they feel more validated and appreciated by people. Also, beauty standards in Russia are very high, and Russian women feel less pressure

For me, it’s the opposite, and I don’t understand why. I got so many compliments in Russia, but while I’m in the UK or elsewhere in Europe, I feel invisible :( Maybe it’s just my self-perception, or a sense of discomfort from moving, or maybe I just don’t fit the local standards — I’m not sure.
