Customs hiccups
I’m a US buyer that purchased an item from a UK seller. Not the first time I’ve purchased an item internationally in the last year, but in past cases the seller charged me more to cover the duties on the front end. This time the seller told me customs should reach out for payment. Got it, cool. Made sure my email address and phone number were correct. Next shipping update is that the item was on its way back to the seller because import duty payment was refused. No one had ever reached out to me, no missed calls or unanswered emails. Man, that sucks. But the item also now appears to have been lost on its way back to the seller. Am I screwed?
