Top Rated New Steam Deck Games This Week (improved format)

Hello hello everyone,

I was really blown away by the reception to the post last week (173k views) and the people recommending i do it again this week too.

Bit later than last Sunday as my girlfriend dragged me to a castle in the countryside.

For those that are new, I use the Steam API to find all the new games launched in the last week - I then extract Steam Deck ratings separately and set a minimum threshold of 75% (across both scores) and at-least 5 reviews on the deck to populate this list.

It came to a nice 10 this week (that wasn't planned haha).

I've changed the formatting up, as I've been posting on other subreddits and honing it as I go.

Any feedback / comments would be great!

19 Highly Rated Turn-Based RPGs on Steam That Are Hidden Gems (Released this year)

Helloooo,

I have a new obsession which is pulling games from Steam by API, doing a bit of data analysis, and then highlighting games that have been reviewing well that people might have missed.

I've done a few of these posts before for r/SteamDeck & r/CozyGamers that have done well, but sadly this post failed last time out when I posted it elsewhere so thought I'd give it another shot (as I put a decent chunk of time into it) and think it has good overlap with the audience here.

Top Rated New Steam Deck Games This Week (hopefully you find it useful)

Hey everyone,

I was messing around with the Steam API and doing a bit of data analysis.

I was trying to find games I could play, as I'd just finished Mixtape, and wanted to see if there were any new releases that were highly rated also popping off on Steam deck.

I couldn't find an easy way to see that info (there might be, maybe I'm just dumb) so I thought I'd also put it into a little visualisation for everybody and then drop the links below too.

Data wise - I've ranked based on overall Steam Rating, as there are way more overall reviews than there are for the specific "played primarily on Steam Deck" toggle, but maybe if I do this again next week, I'll tweak it, come up with a merged score, remove the ones where their overall steam deck score is below 75 etc (who knows).

It's already led me to downloading the demo for Dead as Disco, and then pay the whopping £5-ish for Everything Is Crab so hopefully you also find it useful.

-------------------------------------------

1.Wax Heads - Wax Heads is a cozy-punk narrative sim about working in a struggling record store. Chat to quirky customers with unique tastes, explore a handcrafted record collection, fall in love with bands (and their drama!), or just slack off with your colleagues - whatever gets everyone’s groove back!

2. Blood Vial - BLOOD VIAL is a retro-inspired micro-FPS with a leaking health bar. Swim through the spilled blood of your fallen enemies to keep your vial full. Grow increasingly powerful with new upgrades and weapons. Navigate an ever-shifting labyrinth of crypts, catacombs and cathedrals.

  1. Dead as Disco - Martial arts meets music video in Dead as Disco, a neon-drenched Beat ‘Em Up where every punch, kick, and combo syncs to the music. Join Charlie Disco on a quest to confront the villainous Idols and reunite the band.

  2. Alabaster Dawn - Break Nyx’s curse and guide humanity's rebirth in this top-down 2.5D Action RPG from the creators of CrossCode. Battle enemies with stylish combos, wield multiple divine weapons, solve intriguing puzzles and explore a changing world.

  3. Mixtape - On their last night together, three friends embark on one final adventure. Play through a mixtape of memories, set to the soundtrack of a generation.

  4. HUNTDOWN: OVERTIME - Corporations turned crime-infested streets into profit margins for bounty hunters and John Sawyer is going to make a killing. Hunt, die, upgrade, repeat in this explosive roguelite prequel where every strategic upgrade strips away more flesh and builds a cybernetic fighter one chrome limb at a time.

  5. MOTORSLICE - Parkour through the ruins of a megastructure, climb massive bosses, and hunt down every construction equipment in this slice of life action-adventure with immaculate vibes.

  6. Everything is Crab - The Animal Evolution Roguelite. Hunt, Flee, Scavenge and Thrive in a living ecosystem. Choose from 125+ Evolutions and Specialisations for unique creature combinations in every run. Adapt to survive the natural curve in order to beat carcinisation... or get Darwin'd trying!

  7. Eden Crafters - is a solo or co-op open-world survival, crafting, and factory-building game where you transform a hostile planet into a habitable haven for humanity. Build, automate, and terraform. Control the climate, create a breathable atmosphere, and turn toxic lakes into water: shape a new world!

  8. Turnbound - is an auto battler, where you manage a hero's inventory to escape a haunted boardgame. Each run is different from the last, with unique upgrades, combos and synergies. Async PvP lets you battle the ghosts of other players at your own pace in this unique new inventory battler.

  9. Prime Monster - A card-based political roguelike about surviving in a parliament of literal monsters. Fight for votes, break rules, weather scandals and force through absurd laws to keep the top job in this democratic dystopia of truly monstrous proportions.
