Idiot decided to make a 4 point turn in the middle of the road and barreled down the fence. Took 4 people to stop him from running. I shouldn’t have moved my car backwards so I could have been hit too. Honestly think he was drinking. I gave market basket his info regardless if he decides to not report it.
Hello, I am currently looking for suggestions on public outreach for Fitchburg Friends of Felines. The biggest hurdle currently is trying to figure out how to get businesses as sponsors for the charity. I plan on going down to the chamber of commerce to ask for their ideas tomorrow. Is there anything anyone can suggest? The idea tossed around was to get a list of business emails and cold email out, in exchange for donations they would be listed as sponsors on the website. Does anyone have any criticism or any suggestions on how to approach this (I have never done any of this before). Thank you so much :)
Hello, I am volunteering in my free time for a cat shelter in central Massachusetts. I have been tasked with trying to figure out how to solicit donations from local businesses / figure out a way to get in touch with businesses. The heads of the charity want a list of emails in the area or a way to solicit money via non mailing methods. I have decided that going to the chamber of commerce is a good start, but how else would I approach this? What are good steps to approach this if we are looking at this the wrong way? Any feedback is appreciated, positive or negative. We are 501c3 charity. Would reaching out to churches/temples also be a good place to look?
Why is finding a volunteer opportunity harder than getting a job? I tried the Highlands and they want me to provide 2 references and fill out paperwork, and to teach English at the library I have to wait for an info session in JUNE before I can even be considered. I am looking to start ASAP. I don’t understand why they need all this information for free labor . I want to feel good about myself. I don’t mind handing over information, but it shouldn’t take me weeks to start. Is there anywhere that needs IMMEDIATE volunteers? Homeless shelter, food bank, anything? I am going mad sitting at home and I need something to keep me occupied .

Edit: it’s not just about kids, it’s about people with limited mobility, it’s about people with baby strollers. It’s not just people who walk who use the sidewalk. Some people need safe access on the street, especially in the winter.

Hello inherited well over 300 Wii U games, ps4, Wii , GameCube , ps2 games. I also inherited over 500 autographs( mostly no names but massive heavy hitters, Van Halen, the eagles , tom Brady , all jsa or Beckett or whatever signing company did deal) .
