Hello all, First off hope you are safe and healthy. I am an avid runner and have been for over a decade. So I use a Garmin watch and also have an Oura ring that I check my internal self and sleep wellness. I have struggled with sleep nearly my entire life.

I also need to add that I am on spiro& estradiol orally for 5 months now. Low dose. My numbers at my 3 month check up was basically lower testosterone for a male and lower estrogen levels for a female. So I know my hormones are going through a lot right now. “It’s probably important for me to add that I am AMAB being”

I was for the most part since December sleeping better than I ever have. I have a toddler and still getting amazing sleep numbers. In bed by 8pm and waking at 4:30am except for days my toddler was having issues.

I had some cancer removed last year and unfortunately with that said, I had my stitches in my upper abdomen split open between the muscle walls, and diagnosed with an hernia.

But have been able to still stay active.

And keep up with my toddler. And have known about this hernia since early March and having surgery in early June.

However now my metrics have plummeted over the last month, sleeping is increasing being interrupted, but with my age and being on Spiro I have grown accustomed to going to the potty a few times during the night.

But over the last two weeks I have been so sore, sleeping metrics show I’m awake nearly 2 hours each night and my HRV has dropped to single digits along with my internal battery. I have like I mention earlier sore, having cramps at night as if I ran an ultra marathon and my body has stayed in this negative energy level. Basically I am not recovering and I even stopped walking my 2 miles a day so I can possibly recover.

My question is this, Has anyone else gone through this type of thing? I don’t know if this is my internal injury or is this possibly my hormones are now going through a period of complete transformation and resetting itself to a more neutral state into a more feminine state?

My run metrics up until last Sunday shorter long run were not far off of from starting hormones. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I have left a message for my primary physician but would appreciate any feedback from you all.
