The UAE frames the swap line as joining an “elite group” of US allies with such arrangements (currently only five countries). Despite having ~$300 billion in foreign exchange reserves and $2 trillion in sovereign wealth, the UAE seeks this financial safety net amid regional conflict.

The Federal Reserve is unlikely to extend a swap line, as it traditionally limits them to G-10 countries.
