Online book ads are brain dead

What the hell does any of this mean and why is it supposed to be appealing? I swear to god every book ad I get on here is like this.

Found this in a dollar bin. Is this a genuine Denny O'Neil signature?

Don't see why it wouldn't be, but seems almost too good to be true. Curious what someone who might know more than me thinks. Thanks!

Detective Comics #604-607, all signed by Norm Breyfogle

He even signed the mini-posters on the inside - though I'm terrified to ever try and take them out. The man was one of my absolute favorite Batman artists and I was ecstatic to find these treasures in a local shop.

Where is the best place for a new reader to start in the 1980s era of Spider-Man?

The 80s and 90s are my favorite eras of comics, they were the cheap and plentiful back issues that I grew up around as a kid. A couple of years ago I found that the best place to bust into the 80s era of Batman was just after Crisis On Infinite Earths and its universe reset and just read everything from there forward that I could get my hands on. Does Spider-Man have any kind of equivalent ideal jumping-on point in the 80s that would make a good starting point for a completionist who would rather not start in the 60s (I love that stuff, but it's best in small does). Thanks!

I love a story that sets up a mystery and continuously adds increasingly strange and improbable elements to it before everything eventually becomes clear. I'm reading Pines by Blake Crouch right now (no spoilers please!) and it is scratching that itch something fierce, but I'm always on the lookout for more stories like this. Phantoms by Dean Koontz is another good example of what I'm talking about. Thanks!
